  • guitar is sooooooooooooooo much more interesting!!!

  • its david draimens goofy cousin!!!

  • My bass tapping lessons are far far superior to this junk. I learned DIRECTLY under Stu Hamm and I have the pictures to prove it.

  • HELLO GOOD PEOPLE!!!

  • @xXReDRaiNXx100 HAHAHAHA

  • it looked like you were doing on the gstring like after you hit 15 you went back to 13 on the gstring and how often do you tap with your right hand?

  • could u use a clamp instead of your finger

  • 16 people is from Minnesota :)

  • "the guitar doesnt have to be the instrument that's always out there"

    "IT DOESNT!?!?!?!"

    that had me laughin

  • this guy doesn't just suck, he motherfucking sucks.

  • Question: my pointer finger always goes diagonally towards the frets when i play it, any tips?

  • does tapping make you strong??

  • @NandoToxqui It can help make your fingertips on both hands tougher if you do it consistently.

  • I've been very frustrated with learning other artists' songs lately and i just feel lost in general with my progression...but this... OH MAN but i can practice this everyday for hours! This is a great technique. This made me pick my bass off again after takin two weeks off.

  • You're ears are really special!

  • wtf bruce willis play bass guitare o_O

  • how do you get your scratch plate like that?

  • is not a basse a guitar eletric xD horrible sound ! i hate . and player xD exuse but it realy that

  • nice. thnx dude!

  • Too much talking as i tell the fellas just shut up and play.

  • Hey--I just picked an Ibanez GSR 200, and a Fender Rumble 200 2x10 on ebay. Guitar was used in excellent condition, and amp is new. $250. total--picking them up this week. Any opinion on that gear?

  • This is a really cool technique but then I realize, oh fuck I'm in Minnesota.......

  • @etpiersel

play it as an excorcism tool where you are.

  • Tell the guy off camera to shut the fuck up.

  • what the hell did you do to the pickguard

  • @DVGTS1 : P-Rick, get it? ;)

  • i tried it. its pretty hard/

  • I never thought about tapping and pull offs on the bass, but it does make good sense.

  • i get a buzzing sound from my strings but I've been reluctant to go to the music store what should I do?

  • lol............why??

  • @josue24blue he's awsome so stfu

  • I have the same bass in Red

  • VERY COOL MAN!!

    Thank's

  • Why you haven't explained that this is a line in G minor with the tapped Ab being an auxilliary note and that

    IV V IV I,

    I V IV I,

    I II IV I

are some harmonic cadences that can be used by the other members of a group, but instead of these you how to fool others making them believe that you are a bass god while you are a machine that only knows how to play this.

Teach music please, it is not everything so technic-based, music is not show-off...

  • im from minnesota.. you can do it here.... ppl dig it

  • отличный урок.

  • This is an excellent technique. Thanks

  • LOL but I got sick, pls FOCUS from1:55 to 2:57 ;=))

Great vid guys, thanks. I get my first P bass next week!!!!!

  • This is a killer lesson. Challenging, yet graspable. Thanks a lot!

  • NICE MAN! THANX! :))))

  • that is totally cool i am a bassest in a band and i think i will use that in a song thanks alot and i have the same bass guitar fender squire but the only thing differant is that the pick gaurd on mine is larger anyway thanks again for the sweet bass playing

  • He's not using a Squire.

  • hahah I was thinkin the same thing, it'd be funny as hell if both of our bands got famous and someone was like 'wait..their bassests do the same exact thing...hmm..'

  • that would be funny but im also the lead singer and i can play guitar when i need to but the thing is im not going to use that same thing im going to change it to have a rock/metal feel to it

  • "IT DOESN'T?!"

    XD

  • Did you say "Dave Atell" as in the comedian? Hes my all time favorite comedian! Sweet video by the way.

  • I hate to ask a dumb question, but since this is the internet and dumb questions didn't stop people before... are you primarily a guitarist or a bassist? Thanks.

  • lol i laughed when he said dont do this in minneasota but yet i live in minneasota:)

  • this really helped i kept practising and i got the hang of it really and im teaching people how to do it now

  • Great lesson- thank you! I saw a guitarist rip away at a super fast riff with pick-tapping (or something) and i thought to myself - im so sure someone can do that on bass. and you have =)

  • how much dose a bass cost?

  • a pretty good good bass would cost about 8000 euroes if the value is 7 of euro

  • you have from 150euro to 500,600 and more

  • it depends what is the bass

  • they look like brothers actuly, nice guys

  • damn my index finger wont stay on the 12th fret

  • youll learn how to play it in no time... eventually LOL

    nice vid dude

  • lol love your videos.. keep at it!

  • HELLO GOOD PEOPLE!

    lol

  • i wana know how to play bass so bad

  • whats that you played at the begining sorry if its a rare song im a bass noob

  • Assasin-muse

  • Is there a drummer brother?

  • like steve harris bass

  • OMG!!!! I first i thought it was david at first without the hat then its his brother !!! LOL that was crazy more bass lesson

  • This is simply the best Elf Bassist ever. I wonder what level he is.

  • lol

  • at LEAST a 37

and of course with the +2 Charisma, there's no stopping him

  • Dude!!you are like a bass legion!Man i new york you can make so much money just playing on the streets!you rock!

  • Question...when you do a song that has extensive bass tapping (meaning a majority of the song includes tapping, not just a small portion) should you generally want to lower the action of the bass guitar?

  • total personal preference - cant lower the strings too much as you may get a buzz - you want to experiment and find what feels best to you

    rock on!

    NLG

  • @rockongoodpeople can i play that without any effects?

  • darn i live in minnesota

  • Cool lesson. I want more lessons. BTW the bass is awsomme.

  • Nice lesson!!! want to learn more from him :)

  • nice lesson

  • this is cool, glad they're making some tap-bass lessons, but they need MORE! the bored primary bassist ALWAYS reverts to alternate techniques like this. it's weird how he plays the bass notes with his thumb, though (unless that's proper technique, i wouldn't know, cause they need to post more vids of this!!!!!)

  • He prefers to use his thumb, and he said about using other fingers anyway. It's really up to the person playing the instrument how they play it, so if you want to play the notes with your pinky rather than your thumb you can.

  • finbar is an awesome name XD

  • I think its awsome that ppl like you share your tips and tricks with others who are trying to learn to play. The lessons are so expensive, its like your giving everyone who visits your channel a gift! The world would be a better place if there were more ppl like you guys in it! Thanks!

  • yes!

  • Diddy.

  • He has an Elvish ears :o :P

    nice lesson

  • maybe that's why his brother always has his ears in his hat lol

  • cool guy, just like his bro =) he had another video on their website =)

  • I'm from Minnesota and its true We Hate this SHYTE!!......... I kid I kid. :-) But seriously I am from MN.

  • thanks for the great bass lesson, HOW ABOUT SOME MORE!!???????????????

    COOLEST BROTHERS ON YOUTUBE!!!!!!!

  • So this is what David looks like without the hat.

  • Cool...I play the guitar and when I showed this to a Bass player ...he thought I was an Awesome Bass player...I told him that, that was all I knew...which is the truth.

  • ow ... bass lessons ... nice =)

  • how does distortion make it easier??

  • Distortion does not make the technique easier. Distortion makes hammer/pull easier to do because you can just lightly tap the frets.

  • I know, just replying to drg92asturias. Or maybe thats what he means....

  • its sounds alot better, and distortion makes it more sensitive

  • because distortion makes hammer ons and pull offs sound more. I'ts more difficult to pull of if you have a clean tone

  • I don't play bass but this guy's a great teacher and the technique is really cool!

  • that's gonna be learned :D

  • love the two!

    awesome!

  • Two crazy good brothers!

    LN

    LOL does it sound expensive?

    Keep the videos coming!

  • Keep it comig Taod Brothers!!!

  • taub

  • And then a bassist will play this and then people will think he's awesome but then he'll have no idea what else to do because this will be the only hing he will be able to do. hahaha

  • It's funny because it's true. xD

  • They're just giving people who play bass just a little bit a good feeling and a sense of belonging. hahaha. And I learned how to play this on my guitar, and I've been playing guitar for 5 years, so this was like easy but it doesn't make you a god. hahaha

  • awesome!
