@Supergecko100 I know it wouldn't kill on the first turn. But it would win you the game anyway in a slower, more agonizing and satisfying way. By the way, do you start with 8 cards instead of 7? Because it should be 12 damage instead of 16.
What is the point of this video? Anyone with just half a brain can set up a deck to win on turn 1, if the draws are set up. I can't believe you really took the time to film this and upload it on youtube.
my record is a turn two win with green black infect: turn one play a forest and tap for a glistener elf, turn two plat a 2nd forest and attack with the elf, i then tap the two forests to play a giant growth and a primal bellow on him, making him a 6/6, then payed 4 life to slap down two mutagenic growths on him, allowing him two swing for 10 poison counters on turn 2
this is gonna sound really retarded but i have 1 question about the game, i recently started playing and im just wondering if i play something like llanowar elves is that mana permanent until i use or does it go away at the end of the turn
@red6sand6sasori Llanowar elves adds mana to your mana pool. Mana leaves that pool at the end of each phase. See the rules on the Magic the Gathering website for more
@LinkEX no sleeves because the glare was too strong on the sleeves and you couldn't see the cards. And I just have always tapped counter clockwise, since I started playing. I live in the world where toilets flush the opposite direction.
@DIVENTNA Phage causes a player to lose when she deals damage to them, Turn to Mist is an instant, so he could do it before Phage deals damage. Phage also says that when she comes into play, if you didn't play her from hand, you lose, hence the dude who thought he won, lost.
@DarthDrax yeah i figured that out later after a little learning of the rules. What happened was in the Declare blockers step, he plays turn to mist, at that point he had already won as soon as the turn was over. The only problem is the response to "win" was really only for that creature, and you don't really win, your opponent just loses.
@vegetin01 we scoured through our cards and could not find a third one! After about 20 minutes of looking we gave up and decided the easter egg would be a good solution :)
How is three rite of flames 7 mana? Isn't it just 2red added? So that would be 4mana right? I haven't played in awhile so I might be missing something here..
regardless of whether or not you exiled him from the game u had to have a blocker or damage would still be dealt because he was declared as an attacker, no more stack in attack phase for new rules XD
@towlie55 by the rules he couldve backtracked as he was not given enough time between the playing of Phage and the attack to play out his cards lol... all by technicality of course
@towlie55 Not what the new rules mean. You still have: Begin Combat, each player gets priority, Declare Attackers, each player gets priority, Declare Blockers, each player gets priority. Then after all of the Damage happens and you just can't play anything during the damage step. But there's a million different times he could have Turn to Mist'ed the Phage, and after Declare Attackers was when he did it. Damage is only dealt if they make it all the way to Damage, not just to Declare Attackers.
I thought it was pretty funny when the player on the left turned it around. Sure it's not realistic to get perfect draws like that, but I've seen (and played with) storm decks that use multiple spells to pump up a HUGE grapeshot in 1-2 turns.
Also, girls don't seem to mind people playing Magic. Just don't constantly go on about it the first time you meet. xD
i call shananigans. you only had 2 rites of flame not 3, a karpulsan wolverine doesnt work and pulling off a 9 card combo on turn 1, well thats just bullshit.. 2 manamorphose to draw exactly what you need, not gonna happen bro.
in theory this combo could work but it will never happen in real play
the karpulsan wolverine is called an easter egg (aka we couldn't find a 3rd rite of flame)
and the video is meant to entertain, not win tournaments. we were bored one rainy day and decided to make a video for fun. i'm aware just how rediculous the odds are of pulling off this combo
ok, so I assume that Karplusan Wolverine was supposed to be a proxy for Rite of Flame?? Also 1 Mountain + 3 Rite of Flames + 2 Manamorphose + 1 Phage the Untouchable + 1 Crimson Wisps = 8 cards. I know you draw 2 off of Manamorphose, but that means you don't need the perfect hand, you need the perfect hand AND topdeck! You need 8 out of your 9 first cards to be exactly in this combination. And in Legacy, your opponent has Force of Will about 1000% more often.
that would rarly work in a real friendly game you could just stop phage with a mana 1 creature to stop the win so its still praticly impossiable to win in the first turn.
@whata808 to be honest it is a really easy game to learn... just there is sooooooooooooo many abilitys in this game, but it shows what the ability does on most of the cards =]
he play 3 rite of flame, then 2 manamorphose, next phage the untouchable, after that he use simian spirit guide, then crimson wisps. the oponet uses 2 simian spirit guide, next manamorphose and finally turn to mist
pff put phage and endless whispers in play and its game over if phage dies it goes to oppenent and than her frist abillity kill the player inwhich controls her which would be the opponet..
he is right, i have phage the untouchable, if it deals combat damage to a creature the creature is destroyed at the end of combat, if it deals combat damage to a player they automatically lose....very devastating card.....
I think that it's a great video, and I appreciate that people still try to find first turn or turn zero wins other than the overused hulk flash. Keep up the good work guys.
