I wish I could share Professor Rahe's optimism regarding the demise of progressivism. The societal garbage it has spawned are "occupying" major cities from coast to coast as I type this, and they won't go down easily. Combined with the fact that more people are on the government dole in one form or another than ever, I see little cause for hope.
