I thought Time stretching was when you move the time of a song but keep the pitch. This is not TS all you did was speed up the sample.

@jmxjc - He sampled AND sped up the sample. If you listen to 3:26 and on, he describes how he messes with the pitch. If he didn't do that, the sample wouldn't be pitched differently. He time stretched it from 2 1/4 bars into 2 bars.

@revolutionary209 you can't, but it should only appear when you have audio clips loaded into the step sequencer and you change the tempo of a song. so if you don't change the tempo, you won't get that message

@revolutionary209 in the FL studio playlist main window look over to the upper left corner. u should see the icon that looks like a wave graph.... click it until u see STRETCH circle. uncheck the dot inside the circle to disable the time streching.

its that simple! to Enable it check in the circle

Great Tutorial Man But In FL Studio 8 you can just stretch the sample with your mouse and make it as short or as long as you want. Just drag one of its end. Peace

Erm, time-stretching? I think all you did was speed up your Summer Breeze sample to fit with your beat. It didn't remain the same pitch after "time-stretching". You just sped it up. Therefore, not time-stretching.

I only use Hardware but i will say if used PROPERLY FL can give u some descent quality beats, unless youre the guy that downloads it off limewire and uses the preset and drums that sound like u produce for Dem Franchise Boys

fl is great if your on a budget not every1 is snobby rich and can afford cubase and akai's.... if you work hard fl can sound very pro. i would recommend you get acheap midi keyboard too just to make it a bit easier but hey u can use 100% software if u like :D
