searching around the internet for the Earl Wild arrangement of this piece is tedious and time consuming. if there is anyone out there who can direct us to a valid source of where to get this piece free or otherwise, please, PLEASE say so. thank you.
I'll say it again: These elegant arrangements of Gershwin songs so beautifully played by Mr. Kurtz evoke the atmosphere of a Celestial Cocktail Lounge.
By the way it matters not one whit whether Gershwin --- or George Washington --- or The Prophet Mohammed --- was gay. Neither should we care whether Beethoven died of syphilis or not. Such considerations are none of our business, and irrelevant to quality and significance of the achievements made by these or any other notable figures.
I like his phrasing and his choice of articulation ( as far as interpretation goes). It is beautiful. Have you heard Ella Fitzgerald sing this? It's BEAUTIFUl. I like the piano version though. The jazz takes don't have the same Romantic flavour and the same pianistic touches despite being quite beautiful in their own way.
My brother is a 16 years old boy and he plays this piece only by his left hand! I'm going to upload a video of him because he's really extraordinary! :D
I said 'I know it's out of topic'. Is it hard to read something and ponder and THEN reply? I said 'I don't want to act as an idiot.' God, people are so irritating.
Very idiotic! You are right about people being irratating. And you ar no exception. All the critical talk you offer. When we we hear the great aldebussy play? Perhaps at his upcoming Carnegie Hall recital. Hahaha Hey it may be off topic but are you .....

I don't want to act as an idiot, but was Gershwin gay? I know it's out of topic."The Man I love" means he is gay.

Apparently his partner was Kay Swift, who was female.

This is a different version to the original, who arranged this?

I'm pretty sure this was arranged by Earl Wild in his Seven Virtuoso Etudes on Gershwin Themes. Very well played by the way.

You played it great! I saw one man (one of best Polish pianists Waldemar Malicki) playing this piece only by his left hand! Maybe you can try it?:D

Impossible. He probably played an arrangment.
