I have much love and respect for Augustus, who has shown grit and character throughout a career that has brought much entertainment to people with little reward. It takes 2 fighters to make a fight of the year. If they made a movie about his life, I would go to see it.

@Anglagard1 'Augustus is the subject of a documentary film entitled "The Journeyman" currently being filmed in Brownsville, Texas. Documentary filmmaker Sean Lynn will follow Augustus until he gets a shot at a world title or retires. Filming began in March 2006.

in the early rounds, it looks like Burton doesn't realize he's in a fight, he thinks he's still performing in the circus.

@jmcossio87 Nah he knew exactly what he was into :D He has a very canny and slick defense. If you watch close, Ward is still landing 15-20% of his shots tops while Augustus is picking accurate counters. Most of wards rights are sliding right over EAs left shoulder while wards lefts are landing on EAs glove and lower right arm. I swear if the guy took his career seriously he'd a multi-time world champion, but then if he did get serious he wouldnt be the drunken master we all know and love :D

I'm not going to say their careers have been as stellar as this fight, but to characterize them as "glorified" based on THIS fight shows how little you know about boxing.

Furthermore I know a lot more about the sweet science than a pug like you. And yes, Mickey Ward was a glorified club fighter and if you think otherwise than your emotions are clouding your judgement or you don't know as much about boxing as you claim to.
