  • Oh Dear!! Nobody likes to see that happen do they?

  • Damnit no explosion :(

  • Man that was a sickening thud. She was a beauty and I thought you flew it quite nicely. Sorry about your loss man. I know stuff just happens when you fly these things long enough but damn, that sound would have sent me to the pub that night.

  • Were was the explostion :(

  • Maybe if it had a Coca-Cola logo on it maybe it wouldn't have crashed. :)

  • @MUSTANG408W you could be right there but I reckon it was because it was green. green is unlucky apparently. Lucky there was no horses racing.

  • one golden rule. If you build a scale heli, learn to fly scale and not fapping it around the sky until it's naggered like a raptor. Looks ugly when not flown smoothly.

  • It's about £50.000 to buy this.

    To crash it: priceless

  • @WeasleFireable Think he said 15,000, and even then that sounds a bit much, more like 10,000, but there is a lot of time and afford to build one like this.

  • the guy sold his JUSTIN BIEBER ALBUMS to buy fuel....and then this happens...?

  • this was at the last sandown park trade fair i attened, you could hear the whole crowd go 'ooohh' when it hit!...great shame, great helo

  • I've seen the same problem on a vario mechanic for turbine like this one. the tail rotor was micoupled in low altitude, so the pilot was unable to void spinning. But most of the time, this is due to physical constraints applied to the rotor itself. A little trim down would have saved this one. So bad for you, this was a beatiful heli and a good pilot too....

  • This sounds like the same announcer from the B-52 'The big buff" crash. I'm starting to think he's a jinks for expensive models.

  • How funny sounds like a sack of potatoes falling

  • How terrible... this is every scale rc heli-man's worst nightmare.

  • 20000 $ down the drain

  • That makes my heart hurt a little.

  • I think you can see a bloke in the trees taking a few shots at the rear sections...

  • THUD, What a shame :(

  • Your watching all his hopes and dreams fall from the sky

  • Do those have wooden blades?

  • hear the thud at the end - makes you wince. bin bag job

  • Pity about the music

  • What ever happened, that heli tore to pieces, useless, probably nothing to salvage, what a shock.

  • Sorry, To see that happen. Your Helicopter inspired my friends and I to Scale RC Heli Flying. It was a great ship to see in the air. The first video we saw of you, You where flying that ship with that rc scale helicopter team and performance was great! That Mountain Dew design and scale flying style set the goal level for my friends and I. I hope there will be more videos on your next projects.

    Sorry and Aloha

  • that was a shame, shows the importance of setting a failsafe as jetcat and vario recommend, nice flying...

    Matt

  • This commentator is also on the crash of the b52 model here on youtube. He must be cursed.

  • That was costly!

  • There was no issue with the heli or the blades. This was caused by a failure in the Radio control system, where battery power was lost to the radio. Hence no fail safe and no power to the servos. As a result the blades went to full pitch and stalled.

  • over than 10.000 usd lost in one crash... :(

  • looks like a boom strike while flying ouch...

  • how did you get such a horrible rotor failure?

  • It was a prototype model ,problems were sorted before release..

  • ohhh i might have to buy one now =)

  • Great flying, sad to see that happen to such a good looking model.

  • That was a costly experience
