racing back then just seemed more raw and fascinating. i think everything has become too high tech and the politics have really takin the beauty from the sport.

not to mention they have since improved most of the cobbled sections of this race making it much less epic. it's still a tough ass race without question but it has lost a lot of its insane characteristics.
