It doesn't have to "melt" it, just weaken it. Whenever you heat a metal whether is be AL, Fe, or Au it changed the physical properties of it. For instance the addition of carbon to iron through the use of a blast furnace makes it more brittle. Additionally glowing red iron become malleable and looses it rigidity and carrying capacity. Buildng 7 was ment to be hit by a plane, but as they said 75% percent of the targets were met wich ment that 25% of the targets was the pentagon, 50% were the twin towers. It doesn't have to "melt" it, just weaken it. Whenever you heat a metal whether is be AL, Fe, or Au it changed the physical properties of it. For instance the addition of carbon to iron through the use of a blast furnace makes it more brittle. Additionally glowing red iron become malleable and looses it rigidity and carrying capacity. If your referring to the "melt" marks found at ground zero after the collapse those were done by metal workers making the site safer for search and rescue teams.

I am a building engineer. The collapse of WTC building 7 was impossible. I also have experience in fire safety equipment and fire proofing as an engineer. That building was one of the finest constructed and designed, on the planet. It was the disaster preparedness building. It collapsed from a small office fire?
No pump can provide enough pressure to the top of a high rise building. They are staged and isolated at 10 floor intervals. The building was over-engineered 1000x, for collapse.

yea but its kind of difficult for any well designed fire suppressing system to work when there is no water to pump. The building was damaged by the other towers collapsing and its water delivery shutoff. The office fire was left to burn all day so in the end it was able to collapse the building. Fire is a powerful thing...... Also what exactly is a "building engineer". Unless your in Japan or some other Asian country we call them architects, civil engineers, and structural engineers.

Why were there no people fighting the fires in WTC7? It was gonna collapse? How would they know that when steel buildings never have collapsed ever before from fire alone, and are designed to carry load even in fire? It's water delivery shut-off? What about the next block or The Hudson? It was all off? Who designed that? The same people that designed WTC1&2 to take multiple ailplane impacts and still stand? Remember a bomber had hit the Empire State building in the fog. The design was specifically engineered to take airplane impacts.
