Very clear explanation. Nasality can be problematic for Brazilian speakers of English, too. The word "want", for example, is usually pronounced [wãt], the nasal consonant itself being left out. In Portuguese, we make a clear distinction between nasal (mãe, cama) and non-nasal vowels (fala, casa).
