Hi Beemerkay, I have an 05 k1200s, last summer my engine blew. Have you heard of that before? Can't get BMW to repair this. I'm 50 years old and a good rider, just traveling down I-110 and boom. A hole on # 4 and rod sticking out now. I have the Remus on mine and it sounded great. Any advice you could give me?
1200sbeemer, Sorry to hear that. It's hard to imagine a manufacturer honoring warranty two years after it has expired. However, if the bike is fully insured you maybe able to collect from insurance. If not and you wish to keep the bike and fix it, you may want to ask your dealer rep (very nicely) if they would cover a percentage of the cost of repair. Keep in mind the bike is 5 years now. Good luck!
I thought the Laser can with baffle in had a very weak sound compared to the Remus can (with the baffle in), even when revved. A fine alternative quality wise, except it doesn't sound that cool to me. Silly money here in OZ too, at $AUD1300!
This one in particular, as mentioned in the video, retains the catalytic converter. so, it's more quiet, than a typical aftermarket system from other brands.
Noted, but for me the reason to get an aftermarket exhaust is the sound. $1300 seems too much for a can that looks OK / is well made but doesn't sound too good. Like you say, maybe they offer it as stock. That would be a great idea.
WIEDITLEESTIShomo: I disagree on the Two Bros. They are the least desirable for BMWs. They may be good on Japanese and some race bikes, but not on bikes that meant to be ridden high mileage in all kinds of weather conditions. The best exhaust systems for BMW are Remus, Laser, Akrapovic.
Could you find a louder place to test the sound ?? Geez!

Can you do the same for the k1300s

Does this exhaust system interfere with the BMW panniers ?
Or can you still drive with bags ?

Hi, No it doesn't interfere with the OEM panniers. It bolts to the OE mount and it's smaller than the OE can.
