ok so can someone tell me where can anyone find molecula C2H4 which is shown in this film in crude oil???C2H4 is really reactive so it should not be seen in crude oil i think

@slidermanek it will be there, but you are right it will easily boil off and/or react. However, in the absence of oxygen and under pressure, it will remain in the crude.

@slidermanek I'll agree, but there are hundreds of thousands of possible compounds in crude, including ethylene. Ethylene is also one of the most widely synthesized compound from crude, so maybe that's why they use it representatively.
