Just letting you know, MacMillan won't go inside the tunnel towards the dogs if you don't go up to the tunnel yourself. Kill the first dog like you did but stay back and let them come to you a little farther back than you were.

Yeah, you're right mate. This video really does make it look easy, when it's anything but. You're right about the mental stamina too - as there can be a bit of pressure on you when you're doing particularly well in a challenge like this, requiring real focus and self-discipline to see it through to the end.

@IWantBritneySpears I also used all my RPD ammo and didnt use the G36 cause i didnt take it to that bit and cause im under pressure i dont have time to swap weapons from stinger to g36 as well...

Did you run out of ammo on the RPD or did they overwhelm you? I used the G36C so I would still have enough ammo on my RPD to take out all the convoy. Though they can all be taken out with the RPD - but it requires head shots. In my video I was trying to position the cross-hair just above that railing. That's the spot where the soldiers are turning towards you - but your timing has to be perfect – too early, and ammo will be wasted - too late and they will be further up the stairs.

What would be the most awesome thing in the world is when they can create games where you put on a visor and hold a gun and grenades, (the whole shebang) and go into a big arena that is completely blank and play games if they re created cod 4 and had it totally realistically. man all ghillied up would really get your heart pumping

I wish I was still as good as in this video. Yeah, it's Arcade mode. You can get this by completing the game on any difficulty.

i haven't watch that video but i guess you have to find a position where you will be able to take them both out with a single shot.otherwise you have to be very fast.i recorded a walkthrough of this level on veteran but i didn't uploaded it becuase it lenght is about 12 minutes and i don't know if youtube 's gonna let me upload it

Yeah, that's gonna be a problem for your vids if over 10:59 - as you will need to segment them :( I'll PM you mate, I have just the software for you, to segment and convert those huge AVI files into smaller MP4 files.

i have found a way.i have died sometimes while recording a walkthrough so i took the video on windows movie maker to cut the part where i die and add the one i continue.after that i saved it-it took me about an hour to save it but the result is fine!!the quality remains high and the video is much smaller than the initial.

nice video mate!!!i have found another startegy for killing all these soldiers.i get inside the house and kill everyone who tries to get in from the window.however sometimes i get killed while i'm reloading!!

Yeah mate, I had seen that done from that position by my old friend talalaevl - with the G36C - who first developed many of the strategies you see in the "killing everyone on veteran", and "tribute" videos. My tactic in this vid: from the balcony, was a variant of his, but I got the RPD to avoid the reload problems with the G36C (that my friend skilfully avoided). This was for reasons of consistency - for completion of the whole mission in one take.

My tactic, using the RPD - from the top of the balcony, was more consistent (in the prone position, using short bursts), which talalaevl later adopted. There are other variants of talalaevl's tactics throughout this video - from 00:12 - 00:20 - all of which improved on his designs. At 04:37 - this was my own design to stop Macmillan from moving forward into that group of dogs. This was a real problem for both of us.

These videos, were the result of a challenge between my friend talalaevl and I.

i have attacked it many times but i managed to take it down only on recruit becuase i never survived long enough to fire a second missile against it!!

Yeah mate, that part with the first helicopter - early on in the mission - is all about timing, of course :P

What I done (which you can see in my vid) was climb up the ladder, then go over and get the Stinger Missile - then go outside then wait a few moments, before firing - this is so the helicopter will be far enough away, and get taken out with one shot - as it is very difficult to deal with it on Veteran if it survives, as it literally blows the hell out of the church lol.

i have tried shooting it when it's about to get away from me but i never destroyed it with one shot.after the 1st shot i grabbed another missile and then i got out of the church hoping to get a shot-but i never managed as the stinger missile needs to lock before shooting,so i never had enough time!

Yeah, it's a really difficult one mate - it's all trial and error. The heli has to be so far away that it is almost out of range. That's why I climbed up that ladder - just for the sake of getting the timing right in my mind - as when you start climbing up that ladder, you'll hear the heli coming - then quickly climb back down. Usually, if the heli didn't get taken out with 1 hit - I'd just restart the recording - as my videos were also about style, as well as performance :P

Yeah, and if you start missing shots, getting hit too much etc, your style starts to fade and the whole thing looks messy - if a particular attempt is not going well - then you are less inclined to avoid being killed (it lowers your alertness and readiness). But if you are playing exceptionally well - then you are just in the zone.

This requires real mental stamina, focus and determination (as you know mate).

The amount of times I have died on a particular attempt (when you are pushing hard), and everything was going so well, to die at the end - well, you have to just put that out of your mind and then start over. I found that in my "Blackout" vid, it took an afternoon to make this vid, but the performance demands had drained me too much, that I never fully returned to the game afterwards. It is a difficult path of discipline you have to go down - but it can be very satisfying and rewarding.

It is amazing how far your skills and creativity can be pushed, when 2 people put their tactical designs together. This video was originally made and uploaded on the 6th April 2008! :P my final CoD4 video was the "Blackout" high score video (made on 25th May 2008) - which is where I pushed my skills to the limit. All of which were my own tactical designs. Interestingly, the "All Ghillied Up" videos, were the only ones where I collaborated with another player - and look at the end result :P

that's why i like cod and shooting games so much!!becuase there are always more than just one way to complete a mission or overcome a difficulty.you can try different tatics,weapons,spots etc.

about your staretgy using the RPD in prone is better than mine.you conserve ammo while you are at a position where enemies are not going to have a shot on you.i also liked the way you took down the heli on the 1st part.

Since my CoD4 vids, I have never really come back to the game - until MW2. I have had some new ideas for ways to finish "All Ghillied Up" - one of which involves fighting the dogs, and that army combined - though this would be along the same take as my "fight off an army" vid. Part of the challenge would be to avoid "your actions got Macmillan killed" - though you would need to avoid letting him out of your sight.

That would be cool, to kill everything at the convoy (with the slow motion cheat), where MacMillan says "That's a bloody convention oot there!". I like also the part where MacMillan says "Oi, Suzy!", before killing one of the ultranationalist soldiers.
