What is not obvious, in watching this video is how the instructor hooks up the lights, are they in series, parallel, or series parallel. He shows on single light being connected to the electrical cord but does not show how the other lights figure into the electrical configuration. The assembly is therefore not so plain and/or simple... Further, lower wattage bulbs and/or less of them further apart would be better...
@tp4pc Yeah, my bad :( They are connected in parallel. It is also not mentioned that the connexions should be done respecting the colors of the wires: blue for the neutral and brown (or black or grey) for the phase. This is usually marked in the sockets. Thanks for the comment!
I've been an electronics technician for a number of years now and know how this configuration should be implemented. On the other hand, a novice person or lay person might have no idea how these wires should be connected; parallel, series, series parallel, etc. The color of the wires is not necessarily relevant, since the most important part is how the wires go together with one another. Do you twist one set of wires with the other, in the socket...???
@tp4pc My answer was intended for evebody to see ;) The wires are twisted together inside the sockets, but people that are profient soldering may consider tinning them before hand and then soldering them together. But that would requiere another full tutorial. Thanks for pointing out the least clear areas in the video ;)

7 x 40w... Better to use CLF or LED bulbs. If you are on a budget....CFL bulbs will cut the wattage in half at about the same price. Less risk of fire.
@ArtbyDecay Yeah, you are right. But as I say in the video, I'm adding a potentiometer to control the dimming of the lights, and while there are CLFs capable of that, they are not as cheap ;) Anyway, I'll probably upgrade if I find the hot too unbearable...
