im all about chevys. not a big fan of ford. but the thing we gotta realize is we need all the american vehicles we can get. if ford were to go out of business i'd be pissed. american made is the way to go.we gotta agree to say fuck foreign cars.buy american
i was born and raise in Flint where GM was founded and my loyalty to GM is borderline making me sick everything i owned was GM after NAFTA was signed GM couldn't leave the area that made GM great fast enough. I honestly wish they would have asked Mexico, Canada, or China for a bailout since that is where it seems like most of their production is nowdays. On my next vehicle i'm goin to try to bring myself to buy a Ford but honestly its going to be really hard for me to do
Thanks for sending this to me. All I can say is this is totally Awesome!! Thanks for sharing .You're right I love it. We lived in the Detroit area and my husband retired from Fords.
Hey I just got your message and watched the video. All I can say is this is totally AWESOME!!!!!! You need to get this out there!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing it with me.
wow.....you people are retarded. what else can i say? but really...retarded. this video has been a very funny joke to many of us, and we thank you for that from the bottom of our hearts. keep building those trucks!!
Wow! Lots of accolades here for a country "redneck" song. While everyone makes fun of rednecks from the south, it only proves that blue collar workers need to be united. THEY didn't cause the problems with the industry. It has been the middle and upper management making the poor business decisions. WORKERS: UNITE.
You For BoYZ need to grow up n smell the coffee! everything i see in this video a stock 350 v8 can do. i wont own a damn ford. born bred and raised CHEVROLET... THE HEARTBEAT OF AMERICA.... Lowest cost of ownership 3 years running. stock Duramax can smoke a stocker powerchoke. Tride and TRUE.
LOL, the videos in song, are basic videos off you tube, but id love to see a chevy take the drop of the stone like the F-450 did, I believe that's max payload for a chevy lol. American Heartbeat is no Chevy, at all, chevy thinks they are, but they really aren't. the last part lowest cost of owner ship, but I thought you chev guys always say fords are cheaper, and yeah still still tougher, and you can Try all you want with your durascrap, cause its isint gonna out haul a storker, ford are best.
Chevy and Dodge got bailout money, and still are in trouble, Ford has bot taken a Penny, and are way better off still. Driving down the 401 Today, It was all Fords, and i seen 6 09 F-150s! and they were sweet... 09 Ram was Recalled, and Chevy cant afford to re design there trucks, and face it will never be able to have the payload number ford does.
a friend on mine has a 2004 F-150 FX4 5.4L 300,000 Kms original tranny, its a Crew Cab, and has towed 10,000 pounds with it. maybe ill get a video of it this summer.
I also have had a 73 F-250 and a 74 F-250. All great trucks but I sold 1 to a friend and totaled the other. Got t-boned by Wagoneer on a highway intersection, rolled 7 times, 2 in the air. Completely mangled the wagoneer and the guy in it, I was fine. Bent the frame on my truck and broke one axle, but it was still running. Gave the engine to my kid and he dropped it in an old flat bed ranger, runs fine to this day.
I have a 90 F-150, 91 F-250, 00 F-250 diesel, had a 03 F-350, and a 01 F-150. The 90 F-150 still runs ok, but I have had to put all new gaskets in it and rebuild the engine, and it only has 169k miles total, plus it is on its 3rd computer, it was a real good truck in its day though. My 91, just got it, has 110k miles, having to replace all the electronics on it though because it sat for a little while. My 00, runs great, but had to replace a bunch of parts a few miles back.
Really good song. The trucks they're making now are fairly good trucks, but I would never buy one, and neither would about 20 people I can think of in my area off the top of my head. The new ones are nice but they don't last and can't take the beatings the old ones can. If they made some more like they did back in 60-80 with a few improvements I would sure as heck go buy one
personally he did touch on a good point most newer trucks have IFS suspension which has more moving parts and really aren't as strong as the traditional old straight axle four wheel drives, personally i'd go for a cross between older trucks and newer ones.... the rugged straight axle design of an older truck, and the power and fuel economy of a newer truck for the win
Yes, Ford is the best always has been and always will be, and I said the new trucks are good, nice trucks, but they just can't take the beating and they don't last as long as the older ones did.
I have a 78 Ford F-250 custom. Was my work truck for exxon back in the late 70s. Been to every state in the U.S. (except hawaii) and through a lot of canada and even down into old mexico. I have rolled the 5 digit odometer over 5 times so thats over half a million miles. All original. I had to replace the radiator because I hit a deer. It has been used and abused more than most trucks out there. I can depend on it to start and run turn key whenever no matter what the temperature.
The 03 F-350. It was my favorite truck other than the 78. At 437800 miles the engine completely self destructed. Driving through the field with a trailer full of lime and clank clank eerrrgghh plus a big cloud of smoke was my trucks death. Had ran fine to that day, always taken care of. The 01 F150 was an automatic the transmission crapped out on me just driving down the road so I tsold it. The new ones are great trucks but they just arent built good enough to take the beatings the old ones can
yeah International has always not really been there for ford, I mean the 7.3L is a Legend, but sorry about you 98, thing seemed like it was a beast and almost made 500,000 miles, but its all on thew owner, and how you love your truck, its all maintaining it.
Come on. My great grandfather, grandfather, both my uncles, my cousin, and I are all mechanics. I take care of my trucks. Everything you can possibly do to keep your truck in tip top shape I do to mine. I can put these trucks in their spot better than any engineer or dyno test. I put my trucks through the test of time. Everything they've made since 86 I've gotten 10 real good years out of, then you can rebuild them and keep going but basically they're tired, the older ones virtually last forever
Amen there! I would never ever buy a gm product, and especially never buy a chrysler. So lets just drop this and agree Ford is the best, no matter what the year
And yeah the newer ones will last a long long time if you're just a normal person- but come on I'm not normal. I have ranch roads to drive and tow other trucks and pull trailers maxed to their limit 2000 miles. And about my F-350 yeah it was a beast. Dually, crew cab, 7.3L turbo, power chip, lots of upgrades. I worked it all the time but I never neglected it
your talking jiberish, the new trucks, are good for the ranchs of today, and pulling other trucks, i really dunno what your talking about. the trucks of today are tougher than the trucks than yesterday.
i dont agree with your last statement. I belong to a websitre that is all about 67-72 ford trucks. there was a meember on there whos 68 got hit by a 07 Ford. The 07 was pretty mashed. The 68 drove away with only minor front end damage.
Great song, we need more optimisim like this. More consumer confidence in American products. I'm one of the many that is laid off due to lack of domestic sales. I did alot of contract sheet metal work for the CAT plant in Decatur,IL. Seems like every 2 weeks there are more layoffs there. We need to carry this spirit!!! Awesome video! Tell you what I did, I went and wrote to Ford's advertising department telling them they need to see this and set you up for their next ad campaign. This is inspiring and just what this country needs right now with all that is going on. Everyone here - go to Ford's website and write them - I did!
Great song. It means a lot to hear the positive effects from what these great american made trucks do for all of us in this great country of ours. I have been with Ford since I was 15 and many thanks go to you and this great song, from the ones who build 'em in Detroit down to the ones who maintain them. It effects us all. Thanks from Wichita.
I am an Ford employee going on 15 years now and I am at my fourth plant I just want to say thank you and keep spreading the word that we need to keep work in Detroit and Michigan and for people to buy american!
Oddly--though the song was inspired by Ford's CEO Mulally--I wrote it with all Detroit truck makers in mind. For the video I changed a line at the end--and used Ford video. But it's truly about all 3 of our truck makers. Thanks for watching. Do me a favor and pass it on!
I'm not american, but it's nice to see some of you guys haven't lost your faith and willingness to do great things. Just keep pushing, this recession will soon be just a bad memory.
