@Zamoonda90 Varian did not kill Thrall. As I recall nor was he outnumbered. And as you know he is currently one of the most powerful entities in Azeroth. So you may claim Varian would have won, which we cannot be certain of as shown above, but in any case Thrall was not killed, merely attacked.

I see the incident as Varian being outraged at what occurred, and before he could attack Thrall -- whom was lonely completely, outside of two warriors -- Varian had the heroes of Azeroth on his side. Also, with the previous Thrall-Jaina relations, I'm almost surprised she didn't fight for Thrall...

Also, I lost the plot abit, who said Jaina teleported Thrall out of harms way? Varian? Which common for the adversary to be certain of his own victory. Thrall? Humble as always, but also there are notable differences to physical and diplomatic harm, both of which would be called harm. If it was Zamoonda, then I have addressed that.
@sporerie He apparently, as memory serves, cooperated with Putress to overthrow Sylvanas in the Undercity; Putress was also, independently (or so we assume) of Sylvanas, attacked the Alliance and Horde armies in the Wrathgate, making it one of the greatest disasters in recent history. However, we do know Varimathras did want to overthrow Sylvanas, in the Ashbringer comics. Basically, he tried to take over the Undercity, and got killed for it. We are uncertain of Putress's own motives as of yet.
This is ridiculous - they are facing an awakening lovecraftian horror from Azeroth's past, a power that rivals even that of the Burning Legion, and the first thing they do is to go around beating the crap out of one another?
