  • It's just a tribute to yvan rebroff, dudes, it's way older than the "recovery" of gwen stefani...

Hear it, I am sure you'll understand.

but to be honest, I prefer the violin version, it recalls me the song of my childhood

  • Bravo Mr. Spivakov!

Love your vibrato and a beautiful interpretation of the famous song.

  • i love hanamoon

  • Gwen Steffane played the same note in a nice modern pop IF I WAS A RICH GIRL.

i can understand how this note was a HIT in that days .if it can be in our modern days .

  • Vladimir Spivakov has a gift which consists of politeness and Sublety. More important he looks like he is having fun with his orchestra and the audience. He makes playing such a difficult instrument look easy. He is one of my favorite artists.

  • I wish I had a a chance to hear his play live just for once..i'm not musician but it's beyond any word-analysis the way he makes the violin sound..

  • He's absolutely wonderful.

  • I just came back from a concert conducted by Spivakov, which was dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of The DEVASTATING Earthquake that stroke Armenia on December 7th. It took place in Yerevan, they played Mozzart's Requiem.

  • I went to the Moscow Virtuosi concert yesterday in CSO building!!! Amazing! Too bad he didn't play there himself, only conducted. But nevertheless the first moment I saw him conduct I understood why he was a world class maestro!

  • i went to 1 of his concerts yesterday in Strathmore, MD 4-14-08

  • Spivakov is the great master!

  • Oh my, what "cafe music" is this ?

  • "If I were a rich man", from the musical and then film adaptation of "Fiddler On The Roof", starring Topol. I'm pretty sure Maestro Spivakov was the violin solo throughout the OST.

He and Maxim Vengerov are so similar in styles - passionate, intense, yet totally laid back! And as conductors I have seen both now, weaving their way in and out of their orchestras with complete effortlessness! Truly breathtaking!

I missed Maxim the year before, hopefully I get a chance to see both these geniuses!

  • "Maestro" Spivakov was still pooping in his drawers when that movie was made. The violinist on the OST is Isaac Stern.

  • Hi! Actually, the great violinist Isaac Stern recorded at Fiddler on the roof

  • fantastic
