hey, i dont know if you are still using this account but i was wondering what specs are you running now? i am considering upgrading to 3 screens soon, and possibly 5 monitors with 2 on each side and a large HD tv as the middle screen so there is no gap. your thoughts?

It was the same 680I Mobo, with 9800, any video cards will work, as long as they are PCI e. Stick with XP if your not into trying to decode everything yourself =p

What are you running for Video Cards? 3 PCI-E cards? or a PCI-E plus 2 PCI cards? or are you using Two Matrox Triple Head solutions? or are you using a PCI-E with USB solution.

Upgraded the Video Cards to 295's, 3 of them, with the 680I Board.

Running a Tri Boot XP/Vista/7. Love 7, but no Open GL support atm, so I mainly stick with XP.

I dont know how necessary 6 monitors are. unless you're some kind of stock analyst or major graphics professional where you can actually have a need for that many monitors. Otherwise, stick with 2.

Yes, 6 Monitor setup is a need. Once you have it, you won't want to go less.

Its a program called screen paper, that allows screen savers to act as a active desktop. Currently using Slick GL's and electronic sheep. Google is your friend =)

This is just a quad core with 3 GTS 8800 Nvidia cards. Monitors about 300 each, with the stand costing 900. Tower cost around 3k. Great for gaming and or general purpose. I hate having to switch between screens to see what I want to see when i want to see it... Plus teh active desktop is just sick, it's even better now that i have found more apps like Paper screen, Electric Sheep, Ultramon.
