GM had a service bulletin that said they change the injectors if the truck is less than 7 yrs old and has less than 200,000 miles. idk how that translates into km but they shoulda changed em for u
lol my uncle has same problem he has same year my dad has an 02 ford f-350 with bout 480k miles 6spd with weldingbed weighs in at 13K replaced a couple injectors never would replace em all at once idk why lol too bad dodges trannies suck or ide say get a cummins if dodge makes it cummins breaks it...
the warranty is for 200K miles (320K KM) or 7 years from date vehicle was first placed in service, regardless of ownership. There are some pretty strict requirements for the dealerships to get the warranty payment from GM. Bosch has done extensive failure analysis of the failed injectors, and the root cause in water and other contaminents in the fuel. If you want the policy and TSB, contact me and I'll e-mail them to you. And no I'm not a GM employee, I was a Tech at a dealership.
mine did that and i discovered that thay hade a recall on em and they fixed it and mine hade black smoke commin out it not white and when i got on it it was thick black smoke and i was havin shity fuel millage
i have a lb7 duramax. drive it like a dam randma didnt have to replace the injectors till 180k. smoke wasnt to bad but it is a common problem and one of the only ones i mite add.
@Sofar2 as it will since it has a super low injection pressure compared to the common rail set ups like this. the problem with the early dmax injectors is the actual body itself has a ball that wears out. not so much the nozzle wearing out
Ford had the same problem, all thanks to the stupid, good-for-nothing emissions requirements, they had to get these engines out fast, and didn't have time to work the bugs out.
Looks like a blown head gasket to me

this video looks like it was just started up in cold weather and nobody let it warm up which would be totally normal for the smoke in this condition

all people the LLY duramax is the one to get
cause the injectors are outside of the valve covers and have serviced like 200 of them at 300000- 600000 kms and even more and still no issues
but the small injactored motors (the one featured in this video) have that very problem-and GM ownes isuzu
anyone correct me if im wrong

gm warranties those injectors for 200k miles or 7 yrs. no matter how many times they need replaced.
sounds like you have some shaddy dealers.

Says the guy with a name like that, no they do not. We have these trucks for work trucks, they are lemons as are all the shitty duramax's.
