  • I want this video on my 613 unit.

  • nicely done!

  • Your vid is popular on Phnom Penh

  • This video is so pointless, it's awesome. Just not very good quality...

  • Awesome! Neat to see Porter Junction, Pine Jct, and the lead into the Station

  • Yeah - that's definitely from Detroit. Featuring today on Absolute Michigan (dot com).

  • Like Hourglass.

  • Absolutely fabulous

  • Nice video. Liked it alot. Clear skies all the way and no night time footage. Great! Lots of curves and track switches.

  • Great video! I especially like how it shoes the winding curves of the Michigan line and Conrail's efforts in single tracking the line back in '88. Hopefully the state of Michigan increases traffic on this line after they buy it.

  • This was really cool! I think another post with the video at 1x speed would be AWESOME!

  • That was awesome

  • Why sometimes you drive on the left and sometimes on the right?

  • @Marcolepsie It depends on what track the dispatcher routes you on, as most tracks are bidirectional.

  • @JLJ061 : Ok, thanks! :) I didn't know most of the tracks were bidirectional.

  • sweeeeeeeet!

  • Have photographed a lot along this line, mainly Ogden Dunes and Chicago areas. Nice to see it from the cab, and the passing trains are fun to catch if you're quick enough

  • Was that the Rouge Plant at 0:32 ?

  • Love the video, would love to see a slower detailed version of this tape? Would also be interested in buying a DVD copy?

  • Whooooooa

  • That is really cool. Dearborn looked so different from what it is now.

  • would like to see it at normal speed but still a real good video.

  • where is the beggining station at in detroit ?

  • I don't know.

  • @trainluvr oh ok. Was it the Michigan Central Station or the Woodward Amtrak station ? I got confused at the beggining

  • @truerailfan01 Michigan Central Station on Michigan Ave.

  • @geeps08 I thought they closed Michigan Central on January 5,1988. What building was they using then if they closed MC in January of that year?

  • @truerailfan01 Even though Wikipedia says that Michigan Central closed in January 1988, it looks like that's where this train started. The unique factory building on the left side at 0:21 still stands at the corner of Vinewood and Risdon, about a dozen blocks down the track west from the Michigan Central Station.

  • @blahblahy0y0 oh ok

  • Great footage! I would sure like to see from Niles, MI to Gary, IN in regular speed. Thanks for sharing!

  • Many thanks for sharing
