  • I saw this motherfucker at the Main Point in Bryn Mawr PA, a small room. He drank cheap red wine with us and then blew the room away.

  • Dudes this : /watch?v=2lqwbeULlzc is awesome!

  • Always loved George T's music. Its great music to dance to, play pool to, drink to and also drive long open road distances to (but not after drinking:)...George is and always will be the BOMB!

  • Thanks great tune

  • George always makes me feel soooo good...

  • now that's MUSIC.......

  • George makes all the others seem cheap

  • would have loved to have seen thorogood in his prime. im ateenager and he got me into the blues along with zz.

  • 4 dislikes, WTF. I've got a 4x4 fence post, I'd like to whack you 4 up side the head.

G.T. is the real deal, you 4 are a waste of sperm, stick to your shit ass video games. You'll go far in life practicing video games.

  • @plumb2013 True the 4 downers need a good walloping with a 4x2 plank. But not all gamers are haters. I think G.T is a legend, and I play all game types. FPS, MMORPG, Driving, Flying, etc etc. Then again I also manage to string more than two words together. LOL. Rock On People.

  • 4:03

Meanwhile back at the spastic dancing contest. . .

What I would do to be in those guys' places.

  • One of the most underrated guitarists of all time. He stands up there with Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton, but most people don't recognize it.

  • I also like Albert Collins and Buddy Guy, but George is the God of Slide.

  • Gooooood I love the sound and the voice yes play guitar

  • excellent !!!

  • Just takes me back to N O and all the swamp rock and guitar bands i saw there many years ago that blew me away

  • This makes me teary eyed. How this type of music isn't number one all over the world is fucking beyond me. Bless Elmore James and George. And kids. If you wanna start playing Rock'n'Roll...This is how you fucking do it the right way.

  • @sjefendin I wish I could "vote up" more than once. Great comment !

  • REAL ROCK N ROLL!!!!

  • I saw GT in the late 70's in Richmond, Va and my foot hasnt stopped tapping since. Doctors dont know what the hell is wrong!

  • @semilost I wonder if it was at the Empire Theater. I managed the Bill Blue Band, and we opened a show for him there. It was a great show. He was extremely shy off stage, though. Ironic.

  • @brevadude - I'm not from Richmond and as I recall things were a little "foggy" that evening. Dont remember the theater's name or the opening act's name but I do recall that the openers rocked as well....;) !!

  • come back to England George i missed you last time lol please

  • great stuff. i love this guy

  • This song is Open D - I got the book, and played along , with George (well, not like King George) - I did get a Copper tube slide like his, free, at the Hardware store...works great

  • man this makes me want to learn slide blues so bad. anyone know the tuning he uses for this?

  • @jezx21 cool man thanks

  • @jezx21 Thorogood's said he usually uses open G for slide riffs.

  • If there's anybody better, they "ain't been born yet", as Yogi would say. I saw George several times from 1979-1982 at small venues, then at some larger places over the last several years. He still rocks out, but those late '70's and early '80's shows were incomparable.

  • I went to his concert in wellington back in 1981 he was bloody amazing, and had good times. he is the real deal for sure bro.

  • This man is the dog's bollocks !!

  • godlike.

  • King George!

  • super top; un vraiment remontant mieux que toute vitamines

  • my dsds loooks more more the pimp than i woudd ever look behind the kit!!!!

  • I fucking respect this guy beyond any level conceivable by man. Although not the front of my "playlist" he is always there with me at the front when my heart makes decisions. We feel the same pain, and the same gain. The slight sarcastic undertone that influences everything I do. This man will influence me and my decisions for the rest of my life.

  • everyone else can step up.... homos!

  • George is the best since Muddy, saw them both at the Commodore Ballroom in the late 70s and early 80s. Slide on....

  • great stuff

  • I read that George makes his slides himself.

He uses 1/2 in. copper tubing and cuts and finishes them by hand.

  • Love it , Love it , Love it

  • what a gem this is..thank you.

  • thats music guys:)

  • the people on the dance floor are going wild lol

  • He looks like the mean kid from the playground nobody wanted to play with coz he was violent and lived at the dirty side of town...

  • Georgie boy is the shit indeed, The real deal he is.

  • @Vincentdeep so tight

  • brilliant

  • Fantastic

  • Thorogood is an ace musician he did the song justice however still the superior version is Fleetwood's Jam in Chicago, with Spencer in the G lead and J.T. Brown :)

  • George T and the DD's. These guys ruled in the late 80's. Saw them twice at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. Me and my crew were drinking Yukon Jack...he blew our faces off.

  • Ahhh yes...A little dose fo George Thorogood never hurt anyone..I saw him on a halloween night way back whe he did a 50 states in 50 dates tour....1 concert every night....50 nights in a row and each night it was a dirrerent state...what a tour schedule but he pulled it off and "blew the roof off the dump" in Amarillo, TX...he was billiant live.....TY for post.....

  • well what can i say about last nights gig at the secc armadillo in glasgow, just superb , brilliant , the quality of mucisianship , sound, professionalism, in other words a wonderful performance by a band that obviously love what they do. third time i have seen them and they just get better each time, if that is possible. george had the crowd in the palm of his hand for the whole show. sign of a great showman. from the opening no. ,rock & roll party to the last, madison blues, just wonderful!!!
