@TheGamerOfLeauge id love to have some of whatever youre smoking. Ford Special Vehicles Team makes the gt500, Shelby just pays them to slap badges and stickers all over the place. Meaning behind this is to get his name out there since he isnt quite what he used to be, but hes still a legend none the less. Shelby America does make the supersnake but its based completely off this car made by FORD SVT. 2013 GT500 will be back to SVT exclusive which is how it should be

i bought a 2012 mustang gt 500 2 months ago. white with black stripes. i also own a 2004 mustang cobra terminator that i bought brand new in 04 with a after market kenne bell 2.8 mammoth supercharger putting out 702 HP. it's competition orange with black leather.

honestly i like the 04 way better! 04 has only 21,000 miles the 04 just feels smaller,more snappy,and the 04 you can see out. the 2012 has real bad blind spots and just feels heavy like driving a lincoln town car.

@SL8R71: Thats because GT500s are too heavy, weighing in at 3,900lbs. I'd much rather get a Mustang GT 5.0 and turbo it. It would have more HP and less weight and probably less money invested as well. As the GT 5.0 msrp is 29k and GT500 is around 48k.

@V8Supercar1 Check out 5.0 magazine. they did a test with a supercharged 5.0 and a GT500 with comparable blowers and the 5.0 made ass loads more power. Its the high comprssion ratio of the engine. 11.0:1 compared to the (i think) 9.0:1 for each car respectively. Plus turbo's are hella expensive haha

@The808monsta: I'm willing to bet that the supercharged 5.0 is probably also less money invested vs. a stock GT500. But you can't really hate Ford for that situation. Because that 5.4 engine as great as it was, is past its time. The 5.0 engine and the new 5.8 engine is a lot more updated vs. the 5.4.

All the racing stripes on the 2012 shelby are painted in right? It's just my Pontiac had decal stripes that wore after 4 years and it was that reason that I got the Challenger with no decals or stripes.

The 2011's have thinner stripes & BBS style not BBS brand but BBS rims pay attention I dnt wanna get a reply saying "they aren't BBS rims!" I said BBS style rims & the 2012's have the recaro seats not the 11's, so u can tell all 3 years apart.

@BullittEdyR I don't know if its a 2011 or a 2012 but its not a 2010. The 2011 and 2012 have the all aluminum motor with blue valve covers like this one. The 2010 motor does not have blue valve covers. The thinner stripes come with the SVT package that comes with 3:73 gears and the 20" wheels that you describe along with some other suspension tweaks. That is an option that costs almost 4 grand more. And the recaro seats are also an option.
