Would have felt better seeing better footgear than tennis shoes, and chaps maybe too along with an armoured/leather jacket "just in case" there was a jackalope or dumbass cager in the wrong spot around those blind curves.
You're right of course. My only excuse? Very hot that day...I had just come across the Anza Borreaga desert with temps of 100-120 degrees. But thanks for your concern.
