I had a abscess on my gum about a year ago it was really painful and swelled up i went to the dentist and they gave me these horrible antibiotics and this drink which made my mouth feel funny the lump never went away but the pain was released it looks horrible and now it the last day or so i have found an abscess on the other side of my mouth it really hurts i have this horrible habbit where i just want to press it down i'm not sure why and i don't know what to do!
I have an abscess on my gum. I just noticed it hurting the other day so it must be minor. Does anybody know the treatment for a minor abscess. I hope it does not go as far as a root canal. Can a cleaning of the tooth and a filling work? Please help, thanks!
@Guitarisma then why the hell is there refused treatment on teeth? Some people don't want their teeth to be pulled and be left with a gummed mouth. I mean we are in a polite society where your smile won't prevent you from getting a lover or a job are we?
...my started almost RIGHT AFTER my mom took me to the dentist! i got it about 5 days ago, and just yesterday it popped on its own while i was at kholes (looking for boots) and this sweet nasty stuff was just coming out, and it pretty much drained it all... but its not completly drained... what do i do now??
this is SO DUMB! don't ever pop it on your own!! bacteria can go down to your lungs or close your airway, and who knows if you hit a blood vessel. I'm not even a dentist and this is common sense to me.
@bamfbiscuit you're a moron. You don't need a dentist to do wtf he just told you. They are going to open your gums, stick a tube or straw in it and drain the shit for hundreds even thousands of dollars. You can drain it yourself. And keep it from bursting INTO your blood system you idiot. The objective is for it to burst OUT of your body, not back into it from all the pressure build up.
@DawgcityClev They sterilize it, inject it with medication, and then drain it. If you aren't trained, you could swallow the bacteria, leading to an infected airway and/or lungs which could be fatal. Do you really want to take that risk, or would you rather just see a professional? Not to mention, there are facial arteries that you could hit.
It's more than just "draining shit and getting paid thousands".
@bamfbiscuit Ok moron your not a dentist but a dentist is on here saying yea you can do it but its not gonna fix you mine just popped on its own and has been draining for about an hour now and still going strong I am scheduled to see an oral surgeon in a few hours

take care of your teeth & DONT'T go to a dentist.
just keep your teeth clean.
floss, mouthwash and brush often.
DONT GO TO THE DENTIST. THEY WILL MAKE IT WORSE!
each of my tooth problems started after a dentist visit. scraping my teeth, poking my gums, drilling holes into my tissue and prescribing antibiotics that only temporarily fight infection without eliminating it.
thankfully i had a friend who is a federal doctor who saved my life.
i went to UCLA for an abscessed molar, b-cuz i didn't have insurance & i heard it was cheaper there.
the student numbed me good so i couldn't complain about him using his gloves on the computer & then sticking them in my mouth. he drilled my tooth then he left me unattended for 15minutes & said he had an emergency. i was in ER..
he drilled the infection into the tissue of my jaw & filled it..
i ended have an abscess leak out my thru my jaw.
dickhead dentists. i would kill them all if i could.
i popped an abscess in my 1st molar about 3 months ago. i went in to see my dentist last week about it and he said everything was fine. if you do this operation yourself you need to make sure you follow all the steps, not just some home remedy you thought up
This technique isn't advised. The head has no valves in the veins and there is a way for the infection to travel against the venous flow and infect the base of the brain. People die from these infections. Some of what I see on Youtube is what you'll have to resort to under Obamacare in Obamastan. But, until we have no choice; it is something a dentist should be handling. Anyone can put on a white coat. Dentists wouldn't advise quackery at home.
@twigglesjworth are you high??!! I dkw u r talking about! Callen' me a tool, that means someone called U a tool! and I agree with them! You R a tool!!!
@shariah828 yes it gets in your mouth it taste horrible that is when you swish it out with water and peroxide to clean area of infection then flush the peroxide out with water. I had an abcessed tooth at one time so i know what to do. Going to the dentist is very beneficial when this starts to happen
expertvillage can you help me? my neighbor popped an absess in her mouth and died not even a day later. i don't know how she popped it but i know what she did killed her. can you explain why?
I had an abscess when I got a wisdom tooth removed, and O.M.G. it hurt and stunk SO BAD. Went on for days trying to get that stuff out of there. So glad when it was over and healed.
if you have one of these things are they really hard and white? or do i have something else its barely visible and i have reason to doubt that it is in fact a tooth reason= i have no more teeth to come in and all others have been pulled but its in a place i can barely see up underneath a tooth it feels like a hole my right side of my face hurts from my lips down AHHHH it hurts :'O
yes, That's an absest. There is no pain like a tooth-ach! It'll bring a grown man to his knees! Some ppl kill themselves to escape the pain. you're NOT a pussy like 101010101 below says! you've probbley taken' care of it by now, 4 months ago; boy, I sure do hope so!
I had my tooth pulled [how dumb] when I could of just had it drained... but, the pain was so bad, I would of d0ne ANYTHING!
@rockstarMcNeely Well an Abscess is a localized area of pus that originates from an infection and should feel a tiny bit squishy like a nornal blister depending on how long you've had it but your going to want to visit a dentist
i brush my teeth 2 times a day no. im in high school, i wouldnt dare not to brush my teeth. i had a bad tooth ache and the doctor said it was sinus. now i have one of these abscess things over a tooth. i think it was caused by the antibiotic the doc put me on. last year when my sinus's where acting up it caused pain in the exact same area, my top left k 9 tooth. i hate sinus problems, its just part of life.
I have a abscess right now soo much pain tried popping it but it hurts too much what do I do? I know that if it was popped I would feel so much better, but wtf do I do when its hurts too much to pop?
I have a friend who thought he had a abscess on the inside of the upper pallet. He ignored it for months, just squeezing the odd bit of puss out here and there. Finally after me and some of his other friends nagged him to go to the dentist, he went only to be transfered directly to hospital. Turned out not to be an abscess but a cancerous tumor the size of a golf ball. The doc cut it out and the friend had a bit of Chemotherapy. He's OK now, thank god.
i dont honestly think i take too good care of my teeth but ive never had any problems past maybe 1 or 2 cavities a year, so when the comments on a bunch of these vids im wondering why ive never had any pain or infections, im assuming you all brush and etc right? lol
mine just popped which is why im on this link now, literally about 3 hours 3 hours after taking my 1st antibiotic, i got gum swelling and just now has it burst releasing all the crap.

No numbing, just one blow and the relief was tremendous. The relief was immediate.

well what i did was buy orajel.... and bought motrin and 1 day of using it ... it worked and it really when down easily..... it was great combo........

i had an absess on my upper left mouth, it wasnt painful.
yesterday, it was applying some pressure to it...heard a popping noise, and the absess started to shrink
here's the weird part, even though the absess shrunk, there was no sign of the drainage. a few hours later my heart started to race and i felt dizzy.
is it possible that the absess drained backwards through a cavitity, and into my blood stream? thanks
