I just loved it when wildebeest defended her calf that was very heroic knowing that wild dogs could take her down as well. Usually they bring down larger preys but what a strugle with a small one, all becasue of brave Mama.

Very nice. I'm the guy who uploaded the "bull kills bullfighter video". This is a great Video but I doubt that the beest in the first video was his mama, for two reasons:

1. Of course both male & female wildbeests have horns but a female hardly developes such well formed big horns. At 1:02 you can see an example for female horns.

2. At 2:11 you can clearly see his ding dong hanging from his stomach. There is no way a female can have such thing under her stomach.

Actually Dino, at 1:02 we see Wildebeests but the action afterwards showed an African buffalo which continued upto 2:11. The ding dong wasn't actually ding dong but I believe the tit where the baby buffalo would take his milk. It is unlikely that the adult buffalo was a male since there seems to be only two of them at this moment - this means that that would be its mother because mothers are not likely to abandon their calves until all hope has gone.

Yeigh herbi's! If you think about it, the world is dominated by them...for every thousand zebras, there are maybe 4 hyenas, 3 lions, and maybe 2 cheetahs. Herbi's are in reality much better survivors--if you are a wildebeest you have a 2/3 chance of living to adulthood, whereas a cheetah only has 1/10.

Is very hard to survive - and it breaks my heart when I see, that all herbivores are trying to save their own lives and also the lives of the same personal well known species. Amazing!

I respect and I like all wild animals - but I also refuse to pay attention to predator-prey-kill action!

What some people don't realize is simply because they are lower on the food chain does not mean that the plant eaters don't have feelings. They feel fear when they are being hunted, which is why they fight so hard to survive. There is no malice or remorse on behalf of the predator, but I hate seeing the reaction of some viewers who look at a Zebra kill as exhilirating fun. Bleah.

I am so glad to find another herbivore lover! All of my favorite animals are as follows: Tommy Gazelles, Impalas, Zebras, and Giraffes. And I'm actually becoming infatuated with the gangly but gorgeous Wildebeests (lol). People really don't pay attention to the magnificence and beauty of these creatures.

Also, most of the time, the Tommy outruns the cheetah. Youtube is an inacurate report on the Serengeti.
