  • I love how Vanitas sounds. You can hear the "Sora" in it, despite the fact that Vanitas came first.

  • definitely my favorite one of his voice over roles

  • Got'cha!

  • 0.11 "Show me english" :D

  • Comparing all of the voices that Haley Joel Osment has contributed to Kingdom Hearts, it makes me wonder how Sora'll sound like in Dream Drop Distance. Will he sound like he did in Kingdom Hearts II, or will he sound a little more mature? Find out next time on Kingdom Hearts!!!

  • @TehGamingMofo Him and Nimoy stole the show for me in Birth By Sleep. I love Kingdom Hearts, but personally, not including the Disney villains, the main villains were never all that great. Ansem was kind of just there (although they did develop him further in Chain of Memories), and Xemnas was so boring. Xehanort and Vanitas were great villains. I love how Osment can do such a good "young, hero" voice (Sora) and a "cold, calculating voice" (Vanitas). I'm looking forward to see what comes next.

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 I completely agree. Haley Joel Osment and Leonard Nimoy rocked in Birth by Sleep. Though, I will say that Billy Zane rocked as Ansem in the original Kingdom Hearts. His famous End of the World/Darkness speech sealed the deal on whether or not I was going to like this voice. Xemnas was quite a bastard in the final battle as he JUST WON'T GIVE IN, but his character was definately lacking cause he doesn't have a heart. Osment is the best voice actor that KH currently has, no doubt.

  • @TehGamingMofo I 100% with you on Zane. I just watched Thamauturge's Billy Zane/Ansem battle quotes, and he did a great job. I just wish that (and this happens repeatedly, I find, in entertainment) the villain's featured THROUGHOUT the story. That way, the character can be developed more, and is then more likeable, just like Xehanort/Vanitas. I don't like underdeveloped/shoehorned villains (*looks at Square* thinks of FFIX's Necron). As for Xemnas, well, the fight against him with Riku was cool.

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 Oh no. Bringing up last minute final bosses. It always seems that the developed villains always seem to be the more popular ones with the exception of Sephiroth (who, I think, is definitely an overrated villain on all accounts). I will agree that the final phases of the Xemnas fight with Riku is awesome, but Xemnas just had to go on for 6+ phases until he finally was defeated. But overall, I think that just about every other Organization XIII member is more interesting than Xemnas.

  • @TehGamingMofo It's a typical Square thing. The final boss fights are multilayered. FFVI had you fight five different "parts" of Kefka, VII had you against Jenova, Bizarro Sephiroth and Safer Sephiroth, VIII was against Ultimecia, Griever, Griever Junctioned to Ultimecia, and then her Final Form. But really, Necron was pointless. IX was a great game with a solid story and good villain, so why introduce another? Especially one who steals from a famous pop-culture character. Just a side rant.

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 Technically, there is a 4th part to the Sephiroth fight, but that's all for the story aspect. Here is my interpretation of what I think that they were thinking when they were working on IX: "Oh man. We have to finish this game, but there isn't a good enough character to put in as the final boss... I've got it! We use a towering blue guy with a generic name. But that means we have to give him dialogue... Yoda speech!" And then they give him a backstory for the FF 20th Anniversary.

  • @TehGamingMofo I didn't count the Cloud vs. Sephiroth fight because it's rigged so you win. Even if you don't press anything, Sephiroth will hit you and Cloud will counter automatically, instantly killing Sephiroth. But I agree with your comment about the Organization. They were all more interesting than Xemnas. I really liked Axel, probably due to the fact that he was heavily based off of Reno from FFVII. Apparently, he's back in Dream Drop Distance (stupid name FTW!), so that should be good.

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 Even though it really is a rigged battle, the Cloud v Sephy battle is the true final battle if you go by technicalities/fanboys. I do agree that Dream Drop Distance is a stupid name, but it still has a meaning behind it. It's all just a dream (like the American Mario 2), the 3D effects are supposed to drop into the screen, and you cover lots of distance (both story-wise and gameplay? *guessing*). Axel is definitely one of my favorites partly due to the fact that it's Quinton Flynn.

  • *gigitty* :3

  • when i first heard his voice i thought it was someone else, not haley joel osment but know i find it cool

  • Still the sexiest voice ever ;D

  • LOL It's like an adult version of sora :D
