but let's be fair: if this song beats Walk by the foo fighters at the grammys i'm gonna be pissed. and i'm a huge coldplay fan! but this one doesn't deserve it, if we take into account that perhaps half of it's from i go to rio. i don't know i have lots of fun listening to it (personally i guess it's the most fun from coldplay in "bounce") and it's reaaaaly uplifting but if we are going to talk about music we have to be realistic
I love ETIAW. I'd even go as far as to say that it's one of the most uplifting, inspirational songs of our generation, but I really don't like it live. Chris always struggles to hit the high notes and sometimes his voice even croaks. It's shocking.
@CoN0R115 yes that's true... i used to think that was because he jumped and run the entire concert but this performance was only 5 songs he just doesn't reach them. i don't like it live... but still i'd be fucking insane in their concert hahah that's for sure :)
@tutegarraxfiles Yeah, insane is an understatement for the feeling you get when you're hearing the real thing for yourself live.. you get over the little mistakes then :)
TO ALL DOUCHEBAGS CONCERNED AND THE REST GET FUCKING SOME EDUCATION IN YOUR BLOODSTREAM ABOUT MUSIC,AND LEARN TO SPELL.COLDPLAY WILL GO DOWN AS A PART OF MUSICAL HISTORY.SO JOG ON
Coldplay are closer and closer to make musics with David Guetta. This is music for nightclubs along with Rihanna's and shitty Adele cover's... Compared to the first two albums this is unbeleivable bad. This is for selling... for money. There is no content in Coldplay now. I love Parachutes and A Rush of Blood To The Head. X&Y is not a bad album at all. Viva La Vida and this new one are bad. Just Bad.
I tell you something. I couldn't agree more but, you forgot that they made a song with rihanna + they played on x-factor. Guetta wouldn't be any worse.
But I never understood this thing with coldplay, ok the first albums were better, but I always considered them pop, I mean look at most of their songs, you will find almost everytime the same structure; one riff/ then bass-verse / riff !
I don't like what happened to them either but I think they're feeling really at home now.
@Flce6 i disagree because this record has a lot of meaning behind it. it's cohesive and it shows a story and as chris said "it tries to show the bright side of all the bad things in life, trying to see the light in darkness" they worked hard in it and especially it has soul. it's experimentation. perhaps if they repeated a rush of blood over and over it would be boring. mx has soul, viva la vida has a lot of soul too, x&y also. it's fun that perhaps the others doesn't have much meaning
people who are commenting negative are most likely fans of Dubstep, which is not really music at all if im honest. his is the best live band aroun these days Douchebags !! :L
they're brilliant live...as always. YES they changed but they're still the great musicians everyone loved during the parachutes era. so please stop complaining, they put their soul in every single song and they always give me goosebumps. so THANK YOU Coldplay. Just thank you for existing.
@Tommanc1 Radiohead destroy coldplay even at the peak. I mean Chris Martin once said he would give his left bollock to write anything as good as Ok Computer.
Quit Crying it's an amazing song.

The song doesn't progress and lyrically its a bit poo poo. I've turned into a radiohead fanatic. Shame, I used to adore these guys.
