@dowopper51 I didn't know. Love both guys music. I can see..........or hear what you mean though.............Love info like that. At work I'm kinda known as the guy full of useless information. But I like that.
Del was a true gent who performed with many of the greats including the four Seasons. The Falsetto sound was used by many bands, not only in the states but also the u.k. Even the Beatles did falsetto sometimes.
when i was little i used to play my computer ...and listen to all dell shannons songs over and over again.........i was obsest....loved his songs somehow =\........love the music.
His songs are timeless and I think hearteachs still exists and he had a tuff life in many ways, but he never wrote songs when he was feeling down, but if you dont like them you can easily change to another site, I love everything about him and has since 1962,cheers to you Del for all lovely lovesongs you gave us,love to you, caro
AMEN TO THAT! I have only listened to him for like 9 years or so, but I still love him, That would put me at about 8 years old. I grew up listening to him.
The repeating falsetto C-Am-F-G chorus has the same timing and chords, just need to add a bit of guitar pizzicato to get Croc Rock. Then, again same applies to "Speedy Gonzales"...
I am a very bad guitarist but if you add a Dm in the mix of C Am F G and and A, E and Fsharp m
then you have the basics of literally hundreds of 50s and early 60s music..on Sha Na Na's Those Magic Changes here on youtube the band even sing the chords at the intro and throughout the song.
this song definately influenced bernie taupin s Crocodile R ock.''.

I dont see any similarities between this and crocodile rock. someone care to explain how he stole it from this song.
