I think the problem with Cung Le was in addition Scott simply getting an opportunity for a winning shot and placing it was that he simply wasn't physically or mentally ready for this fight. He's been out of training for so long working on these movies and stuff. Seems really funny for the first loss in his career to occur right after his return to mma from the silver screen. Going from a victory over a champion opponent like Shamrock to being KO'd by a mediocre fighter. Man I wanted to cry!

Yeah, I really wish guys like Cung and Fedor would fight in the UFC and see if they would still fare as good against guys in there. One thing that I hope Cung Le has been working on is his ground game though. Like he's great at taking guys down or slamming them, but once they're on the ground he either just kicks at them or lets them get back up. cung is a striker, and he will fight to his advantage. going to the ground is only giving the other guy a chance to turn the table. plus ground and pound is boring, standing up and striking shows more entertainment as you can see who has more skills, instead of watching a school fight on the ground. in reality if you mount someone that person will punch you in the nuts, twist your balls off. striking is more realistic.

Yeah, in a street fight the last place you wanna end up is on the ground. Without all the rules and regulations of mma if a fight goes to the ground many things can go wrong.
