for a band this size to play something so complicated it is truly a wonder that they did as well as they did...Dynamic contrast could be much MUCH better, and with so many flutes and clarinets it is just hard for them to play truly together. just going back to dynamic contrast...this ensemble seems as though they have two dynamics...loud and blow your face off...this piece is not like that at all!!! oh and a little bit of intonation could not hurt at all...i hope this is not the advanced band.
I was in Band 3 my senior year 2000-01. I now remember why Band 3 has always been so damn good. Mr. Landes always does such an amazing job with the kids every year. AHS Music kicks others around like nothing.
It's been over two years since then... I miss it :(...

@bitterazn52 that is not necessarily a good thing unless you are a soloist.

I heard the saxes phart somewhere between parts one and two. And a clarinet tripped in part three.
The trumpets are so amusingly aggressive. I think we'd cottoned on to the issue of the invisible middle school trumpet sections.
Someone clapped after part two!
The last rows ALWAYS leap up before the rest of the band because we know that otherwise we'll never be seen.
It was fun.
