  • i'm not going to go with this program because i have one of my own, and it's working for me. leaner, more muscular endurance, even more flexible.

    but to the jackhole who says "heavy weight is the only way to build muscle" - heavy weights build BULK, sure.

    but ANY exercise strengthens muscles. i mean, is he implying that women (who usually lift lower numbers than men) don't build muscle?

    it's a dumb, dated argument.

  • @foshizzlejbizzle heavy weight doesnt mean anything at all 100 pounds could be heavy for someone and they build muscle and another person could have to lift 200 pounds to build muscle it depends how long youve trained and genetics and bodytype etc but also men obviously can build more muscle its genetics however i agree that you can build muscle with any weight but for me personally and most men i know train heavy weights build muscle as in 6-12 rep range

  • I suggest you follow what Mike O'Hearn does, now that is a work out that requires heavy weights. This fagotty low weight stuff has exactly the results you see: NO muscles! Vince if you go heavy and rest and eat more you'll look better too.

    YOU NEED TO PROGRESSIVE ADD WEIGHT TO INCREASE MUSCLE MASS.

    HIS WORK OUT IS GOOD FOR GARDIO AND OVER ALL FITNESS, BUT YOU NEED TO COMBINE IT WITH HEAVY WEIGHTS

    But lets go back to muscles. YOU NEED HEAVY WEIGTS AND LOW REPS TO GAIN MUSCLE. AND MUSCLE BURNS FAT FASTER THAN ANYOTHER SUBSTANCE!

    So, Vince, now you know why you still are scrawny and have little mass....and will be quickly out of shape when you stop moving...so use more weight, drop the reps and let us see some real muscles!

  • OK! just going to throw this out here because working out 7 minutes a day wont do anything at all. Don't believe me? Why don't you go ahead and ask ANY guy or girl who is in great shape how much they work out. garentee their response isnt gunna be 7 minutes LOL

  • @WRob3rt Actually I do my entire routine in about 6-7 minutes, but in that time I get 60 situps, 40 crunches, 50 pushups in one set, 10 one handed pushups on both sides and 40 seconds of each side plank and a frontal plank. Faster reps = Faster gain.

  • @WRob3rt Yeah. It certainly won't burn fat. You can do big weights and low reps and that will make you stronger fast and it doesn't really take all that long. But if you're not already in shape from lots of cardio then that's not going to happen.

    The best thing to do is bring a video player to the gym so you won't mind spending a few hours there on the elliptical, etc. The cardio takes time -- always has, always will. Strength training is short, but without the cardio -- forget about it!

  • Working out won't stunt your growth, but body building WILL.

    I suggest doing calisthenics when you're still growing.

    Build muscles in the back, such as traps and lats, and triceps. And if you are working out in younger years, make sure you eat more than you burn. You still want to grow.

    (this mantra is for people who aren't over weight)

  • Vince your stamina sucks. I would like to see you do fifteen Pull ups. No excuses. I dont know how you are getting that size. But lets see you do fifteen pull ups. All the other trainers you associate yourself with can do it or they look like they can do it (Craig, Arnel,) You look like a bloated body builder. do some body weight exercises so you look like some fit person.

    I have been doing 14 workouts about 3 for each body part, tricept, back, legs, shoulders bicept chest but someone told me thats too much and i can do 4 or 5 workouts with 4 sets each with 8-10 reps which is better help pleasee the workouts the 5 i would do are

    Bicept Curl

    Tricept Press Back

    Dumbbells chest press

    Standing side lateral raises

    Squat & Arnold Press

    if you have other tips please feel free to teach me

    i only have dumbbells though

  • dude... vince... try promoting max-ot its the best type of workout outthere its waaay better than all these rubbish workouts.. even though max-ot lasts 30-45minutes per workout its still worth it.

  • Hey buddy, i had the same problem, i realised you just have to keep working hard for 3months to really get results. just keep working hard, and its good that you do 6kg, light weights are better if you do lots - doing 6kg 30 times is better than 10kg 10 times. stick to it, i did and i got good results. all the best

    when i started i could only do 75-80lbs for 10 reps on bench press, but now it's much higher. so, yeah it's actually very weak, and mine is still weak (having a 1 rep max of 135 lbs). but, i've had a plateau for almost a year, anyone have suggestions?

  • Are you just doing flat bench? Try this workout.. Ten Eight Six, on flat bench, so three sets, do the same on incline, decline and then do 2 sets of 15 on flies.. if your not in pain the next day, up your weight... by five or ten pounds until you can't even finish the flies at the end.

  • i bench 220 on a 1 rep max after working out with brad johnson in bartlesville oklahoma im only 15, and i use to only bench 135 but in the 2 months of trianing with him i jumped up to 220

  • well i`m not claiming to be Arnold Schwarznegger but my best bench press for one rep is 117.5 kg - more than adequate, and i maintain around 10% bodyfat. i would suggest then that I do know what i`m talking about.

    however unlike our friend Vincey boy i do not try to rip people off by charging $77 for a crappy 7 minute unproven workout guide, especially when he already charges for his own guide as well.

    my advice below works and is free. this guy is a conman.

  • Grab a chair, brace yourself using your hands on the edge of the seat of the chair and do tricep dips keeping your butt as close to the chair as possible. Biceps you'll most likely need dumbbells for.
