Certo povere Genoveffa ed Anastasia alla fine! Si ritrovano una sorellastra bella e che canta come un usignolo... C'è di che essere gelose! La prima ha pure un nome orribile (ed una voce... Ehm!), per non parlare della seconda che balla e suona da schifo! Ad una certa ti fanno un po' pena...

Ma questa è la versione del 1967,cantata dalla meravigliosa Maria Cristina Brancucci, quella per intenderci che ha fatto la parte della moglie del sindaco in "Aggiungi un posto a tavola"! Pensate inoltre che in "Cenerentola3" era la voce della Fata Smemorina! E' stata poi anche Ranoquita in "Pollicina" e l'imperatrice in "Anastasia". L'ultima sua produzione è stata in "La principessa e il Ranocchio", in cui ha prestato la sua voce a Mamma Odie! Vorrei tanto poterla incontrare!

questo pezzo del cartoon mi fa immergere nella condizione di "Cenerentola" ... è il simbolo dell'alienazione nel sogno e nella speranza da una realtà triste e sgradevole...ingiusta e deplorevole al punto da essere irritante come voci stridule che si insinuano fra i nervi...

Lei non ci bada, ormai... ormai ci convive...non sente più quelle voci ormai...

ne copre il suono irritante con un melodioso inno al canto degli usignoli...alla libertà!

Usignol is usignolo. And yes luscinia is another name of usignolo but in Italy we rarely use that name! :) We are used to call that bird "usignolo".

@idonperg in poetic speech you can abbreviate by taking the vowel off but it's also used in just shortening words, especially in music. it still means the same thing. AND sometimes certain dialects of Italy take off the vowel..lol!

Yes, as ShiverWhite said, it is a poetic way. Often times, the unstressed last syllable of a word is cut off to maintain the meter and stress of the verse. This can happen with words that end in "l/m/n/r" and a vowel.

For example,

"Saper" in place of "Sapere"

"van" in place of "vano" etc...

in the past we used this rethoric form in songs and potery, called "Apocope", or "troncamento"... is a poetical way to say something without the last vocal, used cause of a count of syllabs in poetry.... @idonperg "Luscinia megarhynchos" is the scientific name of usignolo. Usignol is a poetic form adapted to the song. Hornithologists, speaking about nightingale, would say Luscinia (megarhynchos), only them I think ;)
