Yes, Mr. Akuzawa did study daito-ryu under Sagawa Yukiyoshi sensei, but he quit Sagawa dojo while he was still white belt. Therefore what Mr. Akuzawa did in the video surely not daito-ryu. At least not "Sagawa-ha daito-ryu".

Akuzawa studyed under Daitoryu Master Y Sagawa for time, He is showing aiki principles. I am 20 yr student of Daitoryu under Shihan Mori of Takumakai. Sorry for bad englash

It would certainly be interesting if you could actually find out for yourself what works and what doesn't, instead of depending on others.
