  • Lazy = efficient.

  • 2 stupid people have disliked this wonderful video

  • @Pug40

Yes! I don't understand why people have to do that, I would like people to keep that to themselves. I am only trying to help. If people don't like it - then don't watch! Thanks for your support :)

  • My friend just made a post on something she saw online about a potential cure for gluten intolerance (NOT the vaccine!) and celiacs it seems to work for just about everyone with gluten issues. I don't know about its 'true' validity, however I'd say it's worth at least looking into. Leave your comments! She'd like to hear of your thoughts at

  • OMG Annette first of all I have to say I watched your monologue it was wonderful! :-D Secondly I am blown away watching you "knead" (KNEAD?) your GF dough!!!!!!!! Here in the states GF "dough" is not kneadable like this it is more like stir-able like pancake batter or not as stir-able like stiffer pancake batter. In 10 years of eating GF ( the last 4 cooking GF for my youngest) I have never seen dough as gorgeous as yours! :-) Health & Blessings!

  • PS My great grandmother had a bakery & I used to love to baks. I do now bake much of my GF foods rather than purchase prepackaged. But... one of the things not enjoyable is that GF dough in the states is not "dough-y" and does NOT knead! Kneading dough is a pleasurable experience...kneading dough is cathartic! Are you using a purchased brand of flour mix or is this your own mix ratio that you provide in your book? I would LOVE to enjoy baking again. Thank you! :-) Health & Blessings!

  • There is no need to knead Gluten Free bread. Kneading traditional wheat bread is to build up the gluten protein. Since there is none, there is no need to knead, unless you are doing it to better incorporate your ingredients. Are you using any gums to help hold the mix together, Xanthan or Guar gum? Or is it the sweet variety of white rice flour? Why didn't you show the results after baking?

  • @JCassidy3383

You can see the results in part 2

  • @AnetteMartinsen

I tried to give you the link but it didn't work

If you look on the right hand side of this page you will find it

    or go to my channel

  • I tried to do the receipe and when kneading the dough it broke apart and wasn't sticky. Also, what temp should the water be? Thank you!! I just found out I have celiac....

  • @MrJoch731

Hi, try using a little more water.

    I use luke warm water

    Hope that helps

    :)

  • @AnetteMartinsen THANK YOU! I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT TURNS OUT!!

  • Hi, did I miss something, don't you use any salt? Thanks.

  • @ebotica

You can if you want its up to you

I put salt sometimes - depends on who I am baking/cooking for

    Hope that helps

  • @ebotica Salt is used to control the yeast in most recipies, it is optional sometimes.

  • so its 10 seconds into the video and i already thumbs uped it.

i love the headline and the music is by moby, who is also vegan!

so its already a winner in my book.

  • @edmundomouet

    Thanks :)

  • This is great and so much cheaper than buying buns at the store! I would recommend Dakota Prairies all purpose white gluten free blend for this recipe. It is awesome and gives good results on everything you make!

  • Nice! I'll try the rolls but I have always made my fries your way, and also with extra virgin (cold pressed) olive oil. I also make fresh sweet potatoes the same way -- my family loves them. Fresh cut sweet taters are our favorite and better for you. Love your videos :)

    Thanks

  • The video cuts out when she says how much flour she used does she use a 50/50 mixture of Potato and Rice?? The description only says 500g mixture of Potato/Rice Flour so I'm guessing a 50/50 mix but wanted to check if anyone cooked this bread yet.

  • @phwebbie

Hi not sure why it cuts out, it was totaly fine before. I use 250g potato and 250g rice to make the perfect combination.

  • yummy! looks great!

  • 200 degrees for 40 minutes is what the annotation says, but she says 15 minutes. I'm sure she means 200 celsius, which is about 400 fahrenheit.

Don't cook your french fries for 40 minutes. That would be silly.

  • @williambeepbeep

    Hi

Yes 40 min on 200 Celsius not Fahrenheit

    Then they will be perfect

    :)

  • Great work :D

  • YOU ROCK!

  • imagine all this in the dehydrator. it'd be even raw

  • You're the best mum ever!!! Can you adopt me? haha Great vids btw!

  • hi, thanks! I would if i could! He he! But feel 3 kids is enough!!! :)

  • Thanks for the video. Is that potato flour or potato starch flour? Like another commenter said, I've never seen gf flour being "kneaded"! Would love to try it. I have a hamburger bun pan. Do you think I should let the rolls rise in the pan or put them in after?

  • sorry for late reply...been away...I would leave thenm in the pan you are going to bake them it. when you move them they will flop!

  • Good vid. I must say ur video was giving me a sore back watching you hunched over like that, my backs wreaked from cooking. I recomend you use a higher table or perhaps change your camera angle

  • yup you are right! Need a higher table. Probably should do it barefoot too and not where high heels!!!! :)

  • Someone might think you meant 200 F when you meant 200 C, and that approximately 400 F ( I think 200F would only warm the food up). Nice Vid.

  • Can't wait to make this recipe however i dont have anything that measures in grams (?) are u able to give the recipe measured in cups?

    thanks alot..

  • Hi, use 4 cups gluten free flour and 1 and 5/8th of water. Hope that helps. :)

  • This is a GREAT video - it's the very first time I ever see 'free-from' dough being handled just like wheat bread dough!!!

I'm so going to try this! However, to get it right, I'd like to know how you mix your rice & potato flour (i.e. how many parts of each)

Thanks a million and, please please please, keep posting videos!!!

  • Hi, Thanks for your nice comments! I used 50% rice flour and 50% potato flour.

250g rice flour 250g potato flour! Good luck. Will be posting a new one soon...any requests? Anette :)

  • Thank you so so very much!! I went to Holland & Barrett and I bought some rice flour & potato flour (less than £2 between the two).

The dough looked just like in your video and I was totally AMAZED at how easy it is to handle it!

Believe me, I have been able to shape up some bread rolls!!!!

I left my bread rolls to rise in the airing cupboard and they've risen beautifully.

Now they're in the oven and all of us here can't wait to "taste" the end result!!!!!!

  • Wonderful...keep me posted! :)

  • I can't believe my taste buds!!!! IT WORKED!!!!!! This is amazing!!!!

    Only 5 ingredients!!!

They're still hot but I couldn't resist the temptation and I had one with some goats butter and - oh my god!!!

    I'm so happy!

I think I need to keep experimenting as my crust turned out a bit too hard (but I don't care!!) and I've just realised I baked mine bread rolls for too long.

Do you think it'd work if I brushed some extra virgin olive oil before baking so that they get nice and golden in colour?

  • Hi Great I am so glad. yeah you could do that - I have never tried. They don't need too long in the oven. You can use the same recipe to make bread too!!!!

  • I will certainly try today and let you know!!!

  • Enjoyed your video, great info! Love the

    accent. keep it up!

  • Can you use brown or white rice flour? Great video-thanks!

  • Yes you can use both...it will probably be a bit dryer if u use brown rice flour...if so just add 1 tablespoon of water. Anette

  • easy..i will try it!!!
