The tappings she does are much easier than the originals, and the speed picking at the end of the solo is much to slow...!

She's simply doing her own, inventive -- and awesome - origional interpretation here, not showing off. Man, this kid rocks like I haven't seen in a dozen years.

I also have a second job that's 16 hrs a week to fill in for the days I have off from the factory. i like her and she's a great player. I however am not a fan of the her version musically. It feels disjointed to me. like the original sort of builds to a crecendo. like someone screaming the exhaling as if to say "phew". This doesn't give me the same feel of building up to the end and going "phew" and i associate that with this song. I don't care that it's different. She's an artist. Artist can do their thing. i just prefer a different version.

I've listened to some of her playing and i think she's a great player. It's silly to compare her to EVH though. He's not only a much better player but he actually created the solo. She's just playing a cover with a few changes here and there.

But in order for her to get the part for MJ, she had to be precise. trust me, MJ was a perfectionist, he had to see something there he liked, otherwise he would have never chosen her.

This might not be the original solo, but since she auditioned for the Michael Jackson This Is It tour, she probably had to learn a different one because not ALL concert are the same from the original. There is always something different from it, and it this case, it happens to be the solo from Beat It. Now stop giving this girl crap, because she completely shreds this solo and you know it.

I somehow think you have no knowledge of music...

Concert solos are often different than the studio recording because the guitarist chooses to play something different (but its often similar) as it is THEIR composition. There is no, "It's a concert, so learn a different solo because concerts have to be different". Our point is, EVH played the solo well - with class, accuracy and feeling. She's a just a show off. She's got skill, but its nothing compared to whats out there.

for the record that solo is NOWHERE near the original version. if she wasn't so hot and tried out for MJ playing the solo at that level (completely wrong, for the most part, even the tapping at the end is wrong). AShe would noit get the gig. i hear a few of her songs, decent and catchy, but as a guitar player who CAN play teh beat it solo in my sleep that was NOT good, but she is still cute and would have been good for the MJ Tour. It isn't always about technical ability in showbiz...
