What a classy, intelligent, articulate man. I spent my childhood watching things with Atkinson in them (Mr. Bean, The Thin Blue Line, Johnny English, etc.), and only as an adult have I discovered Blackadder. It is truly a treasure, as is he.

Not a great interview of Rowan. But, to me at least, did the interviewer not miss the point of the last 'Blackadder' episode? I think (apart from making a point about the lunacy of the first world war), that the point of the last episode was to END the life cycle of these charcters? They've gone on through centuries, and really getting no where, and yet dying in this war , have become all the things they wanted to be....REMEMBERED! i just found out that he was Zazu in The Lion King and i came stright here to here his voice. It's very generically deep, careful, and british. The weird thing is that Zazu has all these funny lines with his voice and Mr. Bean's comedy is solely his body and expression, but when you put the actor's body and voice together, it's dissatisfyingly normal.

@WuHa105 Those of us older, who saw him in Not The 9Clock News and/or BlackAdder, found it weird that he almost NEVER talked in Mr. Bean. Kind of like a reverse Chaplin. In later movies when Charlie Chaplin talked it was a pleasant revelation that he was excellent at that too.
