@silence206c Yea the MAX range as you SAID, 7.62 will have lost 99% of its killing power, you would be aming at the moon to allow for drop off and 5.56 you would be aming a Saturn, most small arms are for combat ranges upto about 500 meters then you would cosider getting a sniper to have a go up to 1500 meters..As i said wasting 10000000000000 of rounds at something you cant see

Yes. There are night vision scopes and infered scopes that can help you see the enemy. The Taliban likes to fight up high in the mountains where it is easy to set up an ambush like you see in this video. Suppressing fire when you have multiple .50 cal machine guns is the best way to counter an ambush.
