Her name is Mara, she belonged to a circus where it was ill-treated, hence his behavior (the others elephants do not have so developed OCD, since they come from another place). The zoo rescued her and adopted her, I believe that she is much better in the zoo than in that horrible circus.

They must have done some serious torture to Mara because she really was messed up. It was sad to see this animal like this, hopefully the government punished the circus for this.

Her name is Mara, she was raised in a circus, the circus people punished her every day, that's why this elephant have OCD. The zoo rescued her from there, it's sad because she must be in her natural enviroment. But in some way she's much better in the zoo than in that circus.

Insane from being stolen from his mother's arms and love as a precious babe and sold to a fate worse than death. We humans will have to answer for by how we treat the creatures of this earth.

This was born in captivity and raised in captivity. It is sad it seems to have a nervous disorder or some kind. It stayed in one spot the whole day quite crazy.
