I'm not Aron, I'm just the guy who uploaded the video, but I can still answer you're question. Like most games, you just need to practice a lot. There's no secret trick to MT faster. Until you get good enough, try doing 2 MTs per straight instead of 3. If you google for "Mario Kart Double Dash for noobs" (in quotes), you'll find a page that explains all of the strategies for this game.
