@sbuv1715 Well, the Rave Master and Fairy Tail manga are both done by the same person, Hiro Mashima, who decided to put Plue in the series among other things (you spotted the Sieg Hart lookalike who first appears in episode 2, did you not?).

However, in terms of animation, I'm fairly certain the RM anime and the FT anime are done by entirely different studios.

I was there when Funimation showed off episodes 3-5 at the NYAF and the manga author's appearance at the panel as well.

I've seen the first 2 dubbed episodes that have been released on the funi site, but, every time I hear Natsu speak, I feel as though Todd Haberkorn should not be voicing him and they're just pimpin' him out kinda like how Vic Mignogna was in the old days. =/

The actors seem comfortable in their roles and behave how their characters would behave, so they don't sound weird. The translations, save a few different lines here or there, are extremely faithful to what was originally said, and are spoken with natural care without overdoing anything.

You're probably just complaining because they're not speaking a language you overappreciate.

This series is such a good manga, but i just can't stand the music(accept for funkist) or the animation. But at least i cud say the japanese version hard pretty good acting. Funimation is one of the top (if not the best) anime distributing and dubbing companies in the United States. Out of all the distributing companies, it is the best in marketing and distributing each of their licenses well because they know what each anime series has (strengths and weaknesses) and they know how to make it sell and make it a success.

When it comes to dubbing, they translate and rewrite each and every single line to make it understandable for those who perfer dubs, but for the people who want to listen rather than look down and read subtitles all the time. Not to mention that they actually take the time to match and sync the voices with the mouth flaps. Because of this, they have produced one the best dubs out there.

@Needlesstosay009 Out of the dubs, these include Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z/Kai, YuYu Hakusho, Samurai 7, Burst Angels, Baka and Test, Crayon Shin-can, Detective Conan (Case Closed), Black Butler, One Piece(!!!), Kenichi, Lupin III, Ouran High School Host Club, Summer Wars, Origins, D-Grayman, Darker than Black, and the best of the best, Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) and Brotherhood. Fairy Tail will no doubt become one of the best and more will come after it. No matter what.

Look up Rightstuf. com (spelled with one "f") under either "new releases" or "pre-orders" and for every title distributed by Funimation, it will say "dual audio" and "english, Japanese with subtitles." Oh and in my previous post I was meant to say "every anime licensed by Funimation," not "every Funimation."

I gotta say that I didn't like how they did the Trailer, the music and the narration did not fit how Fairy Tail really is. Fairy Tail has more of a celtic rock type of music not this "other" kinda of music... the narrator sounded stupid as well, they should've made all that fit the time period it is in late 700s..
