Container Ship Disaster

This is the potential result of containerised dangerous goods cargoes, either improperly packaged, misdeclared, insufficiently segregated, or a combination of all three errors. Thousands of shipping containers clumped together aboard a merchant vessel, cannot be moved once the vessel is on the ocean, so a reaction or point of ignition will affect all. Mandatory regulations now require container packers to be trained as a preventitive measure. It is not a case of the magic box anymore.

@sega88100 The port authorities managed to get the ship back to Rotterdam for massive repairs. I am not sure if it is still owned by Huyndai anymore.

Was the container 20' or 40' long? Not that it matters, or then again? Either way it's a Big Bang!!

If my memory it not completely wrong I do think it was a 20' container only.

No, it was dragged to the port by some tugboats (I believe they are called)
