  • I have done a throat slash for Halloween about three years ago. All I used was Liquid Latex and Scar Wax. I have never used cotton balls or tissue paper before. I can send you a pic if you like. I do have a pic of me with my eye ball hanging out and all I used was a ping pong ball and a rubber band. That was very cheap.

  • @MacNair I haven't tried mixing latex and scar putty yet, but it seems like a good technique. My biggest problem with the tissues and cotton is the white color is hard to blend with your skin. Since the scar wax and putty is closer to skin tone that should help a lot. I'll give it a try sometime.

  • Try it the next time you're putting on make-up and making pancakes at the same time.

  • I've found baby powder to be two slippery - and plus, they you smell like a baby's butt - which is very unzombie-like.

The cornstarch sets grease make-up quite well, is cheap and dusts off nicely.

  • I don't really use grease paint, mostly cream. I'll have to give the cornstarch a try sometime.

  • For my greasepaint make-up on latex appliances, if I don't have that expensive make-up powder, I simply use cornstarch and a fluffy make-up brush.

  • I bought cheap powder, so no worries. I haven't heard of using cornstarch, but I've found that baby powder works pretty well too.

  • I enjoy that you love the same musicals that I do.

  • you look hideous. Of course that means you did a good job, lol

  • thanks for the tip!
