  • Great video. Whats the name of the music playing please?

  • I am LOVING all these videos showing women with natural hair and for showing the beauty of the black female!

  • Very Beautiful vid, thanx ffor sharing.

  • great video for a mixture of styles. I have a similar video, but it more about protective styling.

  • natural hair is beautiful when it is well moisturized. it's ugly when it's dry.

  • NICE vid thanks for sharing

  • Song selection is beautiful. Overall, great video! It's nice to see more African sisters promote natural, non eurocentric beauty. If only all womyn did the same.

  • Yes, it is.

  • Hey Beautifulll. I uploaded a video. check it out , i think youll love it. thanks: LOVE ME2 ft Tix.

  • For all the people who have something negative to say about these girls, fall back, Cause at the end of the day they are not losing sleep over what you think and they have a head full of hair that they were blessed with. Most girls on here talking crap are black and most likely don't have that much hair. Don't hate congratulate. There is nothing like being natural. There really isn't. Natural brings more versatility.

  • all these women are beautiful. their hair is truly one of a kind in this world

  • Excellent video!

  • @gin0ichimaru0tama opinions

  • @gin0ichimaru0tama haha natural hair isn't for everyone

  • 3:23 my absolute favourite <3

  • Beautiful!

  • Natural is truly beautiful! i been natural for 10 months and i dnt regret it. i have to spend a little more time detangling it but its worth it! Not having to go to the asian beauty supply stores and spend hard earned money for hair that only last up to a month, while my natural hair last for life if taken care of properly. by the way lauryn look so beautiful in this video....Thanks for video

  • I play my L-Slinga mix while watching....hot!

  • 0:16 we have the almost the exact same afro shape lol

  • dreadcap.com

  • I guess I can't win for losing! I can't get a comb through my hair in it's natural state, so a perm is a godsend. Now, men want black women to wear their hair naturally. What is a girl supposed to do? Well, you can't please everybody. I'm keeping my perm, for Pete's sake. And, I could care less what a man or anybody else thinks about it. Got it? I don't care what you think about my hair!

  • I can't understand why a Sista would want to trade-in uniqueness for ordinary.

That is your crown. Without it, you're just like all the other women on the planet.

You can be like everyone else (if you choose), but nobody else can be like you.

We are the only people who retained the likeness of the first man and woman. Take pride in your uniqueness.

  • Over 8 minutes of chocolate without a Europeanized Black woman in sight. That was wonderful.

Thank GOD there are still some Sistaz who love the features they were born with.

The few we have around here who rock the natural got snatched up in a hurry.

There are a lot of silky-straight singles around here though. lol.

  • For years, i damaged my hair by getting perms and adding exessive heat. I am now letting my hair grow with out adding chemicals. I love my kinky hair and I regret manipulating my hair. This video exhibits true beauty.

  • lol y'all all do u who cares i don't care but my opinion is my hair does not naturally lock so it is what it is

  • @BYMEADRINK My opinion is my own hair does not naturally perm so I might as well get some locks, lol.

  • Not true. I kept a sew-in in my hair for a few months, when I took it down and washed it, it locked(dreaded)up lol @BYMEADRINK. But simply beautiful video. I love my new found natural hair <3

  • Man these sistas are so fine. I gotta get my divorce so I can get back into the dating game!

  • Like this video a bunch. I should have been in it. Natural And Happy.

  • Mmmmmmm.....I'm a brotha! Sooooooo sexy! Soooooooooo damn sexy! I love natural hair on the sistas! *sigh*

  • Nice to hear!

I have found it so interesting though, that brothas say this, then their girlfriends and wives all have permed hair....

Lovin' my natural hair. Rockin' my natural hair ALWAYS. Raising my child with natural hair!

  • @eyeluvmusic What? Not me, I'm the opposite! Give me a sista ROCKIN' her natural hairstyle, having a a pan-african/conscious attitude and I'm in HEAVEN! And if she has on some african cultured apparel to go with it, Lawd have mercy, I'd ask her if she had any job applications so that I could be her man! LOL!

  • Great vid! Love my natural hair!!

  • Thank you for making this video

  • Interesting how the ad I have next to the video is all for flat irons.....LMAO!!

  • It's just too bad we can't wear our hair like this working at a bank, mortgage company. People are too rigid.

  • Yes you can. It's a matter of just doing it. What can they do, tell you your natural hair is unacceptable. They're just asking for a lawsuit then. I wear my hair natural and I get compliments from people from all backgrounds...white , black, purple and red...

  • They don't mean it

  • @tmq2moo did you notice how every black skin tone was represented on this show! I am so proud of whoever decided to this: it has given most black women hope.Every skine tone is beautiful and every hair testure is also beautiful.

I wish black men, rappers and Black entertainment television could notice that.

Bet only feature light skinned women on their shows and rappers feature only light skinned women on their videos.

This short film represents black equality.

  • Thank you for the response. This is a great video. muchaba, above you thinks the people don't mean it when they compliment me. Oh well, so be it. My hair will stay natural regardless!

  • BET stands for Buffoon Entertainment Television!

  • I agree. In fact, white people seem more "tolerant" of my hair than blacks. They think it's beautiful and often express jealousy at it's versatility. Meanwhile, my black peers seem embarrassed by my natural hair sometimes as if I'm ruining the black hair secret. Anyway, every1 should just try wearing their natural hair regardless of their job. They may be surprised by the responses.

  • @mandapyt08 I totally agree with you. I receive more comments from nonblacks and it is so disappointing to me that we don't accept our natural beautiful selves. I am a school administrator and the students and nonwhite teachers love it. The black teachers are still undecided I guess but It does not matter, I am loving it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • no problem!!!i was lovin this video!!!!!

  • BEAUTIFUL,...absolutely NATURALLY JAZZY BEAUTIFUL.

  • Loving the vidoe presentation. Natural hair is beautiful. Thanks for posting these beautiful women who are God's creation.

  • Oh, btw: 3:04? AMAZING. :)

  • Beautiful! What's the song, please?

  • the first 2 pics are truly beautiful

  • I wear my braids and fros proudly, this is exacty why:)

  • this is a very uplifting and inspirational video. there is nothing like being a black woman.

  • The hair at 0:56 is exquisite. That is how i want my natural hair to look like when it grows out.. I really love this video as it demonstrates how many hair styles can be done with our natural hair. instead of hating it and neglecting it, we need to love it for what it is and how it is. Disliking it means we dislike ourselves because that is part of our features and what makes us who we are. imagine everyone with the same hair, it will be boring. We need a variety! Well i am not against relaxed

  • love this vid! the kid @ 7:34 is too adorable!

  • SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL... :0)

  • Very lovely

  • I love this video natural hair is bliss. check out my dreadlock journey videos...

  • This is wonderful!!! embrace ur naturalness ladies!!! Im 5months natural going to be 6 on november 5th!!!!

  • Incredibly beautiful! Thanks for posting.

  • It seems like locking the hair is the easiest way to maintain it but my curls are too big and I can't stand frizzy dreads! I like the little, tight, neat ones. I can never have that. I have always hated styling my hair even when I was relaxed, but my ends are getting worse from wash and go's. This was very inspirational. Thanks for posting.

  • anyone can lock, even bone straight hair.. its just a matter of how you start them. if you really want to, you can find the method for your hair type. i recommend sisterlocks for a looser hair type.

btw, frizziness is part of the process. can't lock without frizz

  • I have been natural for almost 10 years now, and along my journey I have discovered that it is not profitable to knock sisters who process down, to lift myself up. I would never go back to 'relaxers' again..but to each his own. Natural and permed women both wear makeups at times....so does that mean they are not real women? Makeup is fake...an illusion...same as processed hair and weaves.

All I'm saying to the repliers...don't judge so harshly or be cruel to women who are not natural. Peace.

  • @nocturne1980 Amen sista, I myself feel the same way. Being natural is a true journey and something that one must be ready for because we have been brainwashed for so long that natural, nappy hair is not beautiful. I was the weave queen but I have been natural since 2005 and I will never go back; as a matter of fact I have locs now. It is something that one must be ready for and you can not uplift yourself by bringing other down.

  • This reminds me of my childhood when black females locked so good that it hurt. (In a good way)

Not like today when I telescope around myself and become deeply embarrassed by what I see misguided, confused are soon to be used black females all across the U.S. and abroad.

Damn it's been way too long. Please, bring the natural beauty back

  • This reminds me of my childhood when I could remember black females look so good the that it hurt (In a good way) and not the way I see them treat their natural beauty with such disdain and revolt.

Damn, its been way too long.... Bring the natural back.

  • What a beautiful collection of Nubian Goddesses!! and I love the music.

  • Dreads are better but it's all natural. All good!

  • Seems there are no chemicals (relaxers) or straightening then it's natural.

  • @naturalnana I agree...PLUS (if the person is reading this) hair MATS NATURALLY when it is not combed...LOCS are either cultivated (which you see in the pictures) or freeform (just let them be...think Bob Marley) This pictures are WONDERFUL!

  • @naturalnana Oops I meant "THESE pictures are WONDERFUL!"

  • it does if you dont comb it.

  • @BYMEADRINK it does if you don't comb it, or separate after washing. thats how the true Rastas do it.

  • @BYMEADRINK: Thank you, semantic king.

  • @BYMEADRINK Yes it does. Dreaded hair is just matted hair, and hair, left to it's own devices, mats. Hair does not naturally detangle, though, which is what an afro is. Detangled hair.

  • @BYMEADRINK yes it does, we just modern ways are making the process more easier and i guess more professional

  • beautiful hair and music.

  • Beautiful video!!!

I have had my locks for a little over a year and love them so much!!!!!

    Back to the essence!!

    Hotep

  • i really want to have natural hair again

but im afraid my hair will grow slow, i dont like short hair

my relaxed hair is pretty long (BSL type 3b)

so i dont know what to do

  • If you really want to go natural...you can rock wigs and weaves(braids) until your natural hair is long enough for you. Don't be discouraged by militant 'naturals'. There is nothing wrong with not liking short hair. My friend rocked a wig (cute by the way) until her natural was long enough for her. It's all about what's comfortable for you.

  • Wearing my hair natural is the most liberating thing I have ever done.

  • I agree

  • Congrats on that step! not only was it smart fiscally and aesthetically but probably emotionally letting go of so much that comes with relaxers is so freeing.!

  • LOVE...1:20 - 1:25

  • yea i do want i can to keep its texture and moister. i love being natural its great.

  • Thank your for this video!

  • AMAZING!

  • love the video.. love the jazz ...who is it?

  • Sista!! Sista!! This video is absolutely beautiful!! Thank you so much. I'll be rocking 60 years in a minute and since 1968 I've worn my hair mostly natural so that other sistas could see that their natural hair could be beautiful. Frankly, I've gotten bored and though about straightening my hair. Then today I see this beautiful work of art honoring our hair. I had to let you know how you've inspired me, made me fall in love with my nappy hair all over again. Oh, the music! who's playing?

  • These women are just as beautiful if not more.

  • love the afro and the dreads

  • This is just beautiful!

  • invadr1's blissful ignorance is slightly laughable. Can't take herbs like that too seriously. Beautiful video!

  • I love the hairstyle at 2:18. Beautiful vid.

  • gives me inspiration!

  • only thing ugly around here is your spirit and your soul.

  • WTF are u kidding me? everything about this vid is beautiful & eccentric

  • then y u watch the video then?..... wat a dumbass

  • ok first i "ate" the dumbass. by you making that statement you have just proven that you are indeed a dumbass. and secondly if you didn't like how they look then you should've just lefted, because beauty is HIGHLY subjective.....

  • its not censorship itscalled politeness but i guess you would have no concept of that, you savage.....

  • invadr1....

You exhibit classic behavioral traits of a "Hater". Very obvious in your attempt to disregard the Majesty this video depicts as well as the Inspiration it conveys to the thousands of rational viewers.

Learn to Love yourself & make the World a better place. ~Peace

  • ur not satisfied with urself, so u take pleasure in puttin others down. i truly feel sorry for u.

  • THEN WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER A BEAUTIFUL HAIRSTYLE? Something straight, wavy, permed???? lol...right!

  • Real woman?!? So a woman's hairstyle determines how real she is? Next your going to say if her eyes are not light green, hazel, or grey then she's not a real woman...or better yet if her complexion is not light, then she is not a real woman?

What universe do you live in?

  • Real women...Please show me your concept of a real women. Please make a video response to this video cause chances are I will have to show you that the women have weaves or wigs...And I would know my sister works at the most popular weave store in Hollywood Extensions Plus! and every I mean everyone. From Lucy lu to Dr. Quin Medicine women Jane Seymour and Kim Khardashian to Teyanna Taylor to Loren London wears weave, So if you like fakeness then your arguments moot!

  • I guess the real question is...Why are you here spewing you pointless negative hatred. So YOU operative word YOU think they're ugly...Right? So why do you concern your self with looking at these videos and furthermore the fact that you felt the need to post is ridiculous! get a life! you need something way better to find to watch or soemthign better to occupy your day!

  • omg I love natural hair on woman and men , it looks so confident and definitly classy! love it!

  • I'm on my journey, (please check my video out) and I am so happy I took the time to get to love myself naturally.

  • There is no other beauty that can compare to our beauty...for it is unique. Loved the video.....just stunning and inspiring.

  • Natural ! Yeah Baby !..............Yeah !!!!!!!!

  • Aaawwhhh!!! I'm glad I'm on this journey! Thanks for this video! It is truly inspirational!

  • B E A U T I F U L;.

  • some of those pictures look like afro wigs

  • Beautiful

  • they look likes ancient egyptian woman.gracefull!!!and authentik!!!!!

  • absolutely beautiful. I love how you showcased the wide and full range of our hues as well as natural hair. Each woman young and old in this video was nothing short of stunningly beautiful!

  • Not only is natural hair beautiful but we look beautiful in our natural hair.

  • Yes, I agree ~ Natural hair is Beautiful!!

  • I support my sistas who wear their hair naturally! I wish more of them did it.

  • HEY i want to stop perming my hair and let it be natural but i dont know how without cutting it off. SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE - thanks

  • Try wearing transitional styles like braids or kinky twist until your natural hair grows to a length that you are comfortable with and then you do the big chop. By cutting off the relaxed ends. I recommend you go to a natural hair salon and find out what styles are best for your hair type. Or you can just look on youtube (look up Rusticbeauty and Najahface they have great videos on natural hair) or look up natural hairstyles on the internet. Good luck:)

  • thanks :)

i´ve always dreamed of looong hair( like the woman in 5.39. by the way: is that only her natural hair). now I wear it quite short and I feel well but I still want to have long hair some day. and I want to wear it open!

the longest hair I ever had was shoulderlength but there was no structure in it and it looked awful. the problem is I don´t know which haircut I need for curly, long hair. can anybody help?

  • I´d love to wear my hair long but I don´t know how :(

  • get a lock buddy to 'stay strong' and just go a bit 'au natural' :)

-don't use actual wax (any stiffening agent u may want to add (like a pomade) should melt at a fairly low temp like w/a blow dryer)

    twist, backcomb, braid

etc above all ask for some help and people will totally help u out in this process m8

    GOOD LUCK !

  • and if you don't want locks start twisting or braiding your hair. This grows it fairly quickly and its a nice still you can rock for a while. Thats what im doing check out my vids.

  • THANK YOU.

  • I think everyone should just be who and what they are. Black people should stop straightening and dying their hair and all that bullshit and just be black. White people should stop trying to dress, act, and talk black. Be your natural self. Peace.

  • I like woman with natural hair.

  • Beautiful! This series shows you the reason why we are being led to straight korean hair. They can't look like us with our crowning glory, so they want to take that away from us - making it blonde, too!!??! No more perm for me, either! My DNA has given me what I need :) Peace and blessings, and Thank You!

  • Ummmm, all of the ladies in this vid are gorgeous, but can you be any friggin' cuter than 2:24? Thanks for this lovely 'mirror' or me!!! Peace, blessings, & bliss!!

  • We as black women are so beautiful with our own hair. It looks so much better. I could never go back to a perm. NEVER!!!

  • I really want to thank you for this entry. There is a dearth of images that celebrate brown-dark beauty and especially natural black beauty. Thanks!

  • Love the children at the end right before Erykah =)

    Nice compilation sista!

    *PROUD TO BE NATURAL*

  • I concur! Well... Natural hair is VERY beautiful! As well as strong =)

  • i love 6:02

  • this video is so beautiful! those girls are so pretty and i love BIG hair!

  • love, love. This video can definitely change a persons eye about natural hair cause made so beautifully.

  • So does Beyonce use relaxers?

  • Beyonce's hair is natural and has been since 2001 according to some sources. When ever you see her perform she's wearing a lace front wig. There are some pics of her where she's not wearing a wig but they are hard to find, they're usually paparazzi pics of her going about her business.

  • LOL! Beyonce uses EVERYTHING.

  • 6:04 beautiful! love it.

beautiful compilation sista. this makes me proud to be natural!

  • 2:08 is my sister Celaine in ten years

Except her hair is permed, but still that woman could be kin

  • This video tribute to natural hair is like a healing balm to me this morning. I am inspired to take my natural to the next step...GORGEOUS.

  • love this!

  • Black women are beautiful without fake-hair-dos...lets embrace our blackness and stop trying to look like whites

  • amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i LUV this video! the one at 4:09 looks like a darker version of rihanna

  • Yeah a lot of people say that, that's model Tomiko Fraser.

  • ur pretty beautiful

  • i love a sista wit locs. fuck all those eurocentric perms. i like that natural afrocentric beauty in a sista.

  • good for you:)

  • The hair on our heads is a covering for the knowledge God gives us, we've got 2 keep it natural and free...we are beautiful just the way He made us!

  • i agree very good point

  • beautiful

  • black women are supernatural beings lol what beauty
