For those idiots who don't think this was on purpose...

If you watch carefully the drift was perfect up until this guy was seen throwing something, at which point the driver pulls out of the drift and aims for this guy. Then after hitting the guy was clearly saying/showing "what now punk?" at which the guy in the crowd lifted his hands to say "bring it on" and so the driver revs his engine to intimidate, which obviously worked as the guy moves round to the side of the car. The rest is obvious.
