  • the whole song is great, but 2:50-4:02 is incredible

  • I like this song more than all of you

  • Shut up and listen to music!!!!!!

  • The very beginning sounds a bit like Organ Donor by DJ Shadow. Kinda.

  • First of all since when is so sick. But that outro beat is ridiculous... I'm guessing they made it? Definitely sounds like live instruments I hope they make a full version...

  • @royalsteven , search for Murs - walk like a man . That song possess all the things you are talking about. The lyrics are also very powerful...the music changes to match the mood of the lyrics (you'll see). Hope you like what you hear! Also, the outro beat in this song is FIRE, it should have been turned into its own song fa sho

  • fuck, how we torn the club down to that shit in berlin last night! indescribable!

  • good stuff

  • If your looking for a jazz/hip hop fusion, check out Jazz liberatorz. Their music has a real smooth sound. Cunninglynguists are fuckin killer btw!

  • @MainBrainDaneInsane , that ssome funky shit!

  • Southern Underground is one of the best albums I ever heard and I really like that one by them. But this album has some really great tracks on it too. They always start their albums off so hot and this album doesnt disappoint.

Sucks those CDs arent available on Amazon anymore. Just digital download.

  • @upinposting how come you didn't buy it when it dropped? I have a copy

  • @bigpikl I bought a copy, specifically for the cover for a special reason. But its a CD what makes you think that because you bought a copy and still have it that it would mean others would too? Ive lost. broken, scratched up, had stolen, misplaced, etc. MANYYYYY CD's.

I dont know if you posted that to be smart but you dont know what I buy. I was simply posting a fact that the CD isnt available anymore. QN5 thank you for that response.

  • @upinposting That's because they haven't seen a penny from all of the physical sales because the distributor LA Underground screwed them over. They're still in a lawsuit with them. Digital is the only way they can make money off the album.

  • @QN5isincredible Thanks for that response. And DAMNNNN I hate to hear that. Deacon is so ill theres this woo child collabo he did and he spit one of the dopest verses. Kno always makes such ill beats too.

  • PAMMM!!!!

  • Classic lynguists

  • love it!

  • This is great but the best song by cunninglynguists is "Seasons". If yall aint heard that check it out ASAP.

  • that second beat that comes in at about 2:50 is craaaack.

    Kno is the man..

  • 2:37 "...See what the public...See what yall did to rappers........They scared to be themselves...Niggas don't think that people're gonna except them as them self "

  • might switch south paw knuckle to jaw

  • sample by terry reid - loving time

  • @FatBoyFromTheVillage wow really !?!? terry reid is amazing...can't believe it's from him. great taste !

  • the 'lynguists are really talented i started lilstening to them not too long ago i flipped when i found out this cd was released by a record labe here in my hometown....its just suprising cuz we are that big on the music scene...yet

  • i like busting to this song....dont judge me! lol

  • While I'll agree that repetition is hypnotic. I find central beats hypnotic. And I vastly prefer a solid central beat through out a song with some variation here and there to add some push and pull to the daze.

  • "go's a little somethin like this"

  • Damn, god ol shit from around the days !

Big Up to Mc Ego ! ^^

  • fuckin hot man

  • love this one

  • cacooool

  • DAMN

  • damn is right

  • I like the part where they rapped well

  • Then you like the whole song

  • Yup

  • 2:50 -4:02 nice

  • anybody know if there is a full track to this beat ?

  • I like how they experiment with a beat in one song. See, a beat doesn't have to be the same loop/sample for over then 3 minutes. Why not be like rock music and change/improvise? Why not use two beats? Use beat changes in tempo, dynamics? Don't get me wrong I love hip-hop since the 80's but one thing that I never got is why the beats have to stay the same for so long. You know what i'm saying?

  • do you know how awkward it is to be dancing and suddenly have the tempo change?

  • if u know how to dance its not awkward

  • sit your ass down and fire one up. wrong music to dance to.

  • excally what i was thinkin!

  • word.

  • @royalsteven, I dont know if people think the same as me, but if I listen to the same sample/loop for a long time. It works really hypnotic, thats why I like less variation too.

  • Ah ok. I can understand that.

  • @royalsteven Check out Canibus' Poet Laureate II.

  • @royalsteven exactly... i like how artists like them bring art to the table because that what rap is... its rhythm and poetry

  • True true -__-

  • @royalsteven yes i actually LOVE what your saying. i think fusion has had its chance, its time to move forward and mix hip-hop with rock and jazz now :)

  • Indeed, hip--hop should be more like jazz, progressive metal and classical.

  • @royalsteven - In the first half of the song it's a very normal hip hop beat, aside from being extremely layered. There's two parts, the loop during the verses, and then the change during the bridge. Otherwise, they take layers out and put them back in to make it sound better and make certain parts hit harder and pause it when they feel like putting emphasis on what a rapper says. The second half is just an extended outro, which is incredibly dope.

  • Yes, I think Kno is one of the best producers of the 2000´s.

  • @royalsteven The thing is, even this song's still reliant on beats. What I want to see is hiphop that's not beat-based, but more progressive than that, perhaps even through-composed hiphop, as odd as that sounds. Something that carries the spirit and feel of hiphop, but without the unnecessary and repetitious idiom that comes with the genre. Moreoever, an emcee that could deliver rhymes on top of that would be truly gifted, I think.

  • Yes, it could be more innovative that is for sure. The one reason many people do not like hip-hop because musically because it is too limited and doesn't expand too much out of the usual borders. You also have acapella hip-hop with only voice but that sounds too empty. The beat is to accompany the voice but why are the beat and voice so repetitious? Maybe if MC's start to use many different voices tones and breathe techniques in their delivery the music will be more exciting also.

  • @squizz222 Maybe you should listen to their latest album Onreiology... their latest album is just fucking amazing, you can't put a genre to it, you just call it art man. Trust me.

  • @royalsteven i think its lack of creativity and effort...

  • Really? Are you talking about rappers or producers? Because I think producers have more talent/creativity. But yes, maybe producers actually have more skill than creativity?

  • @royalsteven You're right. That's one reason why I love Cunninlynguists.

  • Thanks. Yes, that's why I like them too.

  • @royalsteven I feel ya brotha man

  • Thanks man :)

  • such a great thing

  • Cunninlynguists are one of the only people, not just rap groups, that have a different concept for every song. A lot of people have at least one track dedicated for straight rhymes that don't make sense, but these guys give every track some deeper meaning. Its amazing how they do this.

  • lynguistics is just about straight rhymes.

  • CL --> loves of my life (:

  • They are geniouses. I can't describe how AMAZING this groovy 70s rock / hip hop synthesis is. Suprised me in the best possible way.
