Great Vid. I just LOVE tan dun.. does anybody ever heard teh Water Passion? if so, can somebody post it? it will b great to c a vid of the Water Passion....
I saw Tan Dun at Shaolin Temple last year promo-ing these sounds I'll post it and you can see he Monk's reactions, it apparently has something to do with Buddhism and the sounds surrounding China's Song Shan Mountain range.
I believe there are Daoist influences too as the area where the sounds of the water were recorded have both Daoist and Buddhist temples (The Song shan area).
What if the "Water Percussion" made it's way to the orchestra? Just imagine.... *Stairs into space for a few seconds* Sorry, I can't imagine a Water Percussion Concerto. @___@ (though it might sound good with strings? -.-')
This is pretty nice, i feel relaxed listening to this, cause i love watter, sitting in a little river having water fall down on your head, ... and that sound... its just like a massage. I like that guy.
Is this the sound of the last clean water on earth and in a bowl at that? On the humorist side bathing for the musician must be a riot. Thank you for calling attention to water, what a beautiful and important part of our lives "UNIVERSAL" every person on earth.
Feel rather stupid to sit through all these. If I want to listen to the sound of water, I would rather go to the rivers, the lake, where we have sunshine, winds, and things much better than confined ourselves in such a small space.
Heard that Tan Dun only use certain water from a specific part of China, as he claimed that it is purer. WHAT A WASTE!!
what is this?! play the music! -__-

The water is quite applicable in this instance.
