  • Some great storys in this show. Quite mature at times as the children sometimes faced tough moral dilemmas.

  • i had heard a rumor that a final episode had been written just never animated. i dont know if this is true or not.

  • Great show. Still peeved to this day it never aired a finale.

@mjnoir1 I too have heard this rumor.

I've actually considered writing a fan fiction end to it myself, unfortunately I can't animate, but I've come up with at least 2-3 ideas for a satisfying end. I bet others have too.

  • didn't they get stuck on this ride forever because there was no last episode or something?

  • Acrobat....WHAT a 2-D vixen !!

  • They seemed to take it in their stride...

  • Oh god I loved this show so much!

  • Dungeon Master = Paul Daniels

  • "Barbarian!" Oh, yeah, cheers. Can't I be wizard? This club is rubbish.

  • mental how simply looking at pictures of something can instantly trigger memories, or a kind of ''de ja vu" from childhood, i seen the video in the sidebar, it seemed ever so slightly familiar so i clicked on it, and instantly it was familiar as fuck.

  • @ItsHennoSee I watched an episode of Thundercats once and it was the music that did it more than anything, almost felt like I was spiralling through a time warp, yet the music did not really have my full attention at the time it was the thing that struck me the most, like smells in that regard.

  • @cobh8crew2009 yeh haha, i used to be like yeh they gona get out when they could see the way home through the eye of the beholder and they didnt get our, ahhh man i remember shouting NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO at the screen and looked down and my cornflakes were soggy, forgot about them.. then off to school :(

  • i lovedthis show why did they have to cansel it befoe it finished

  • That dragon is multi-colored. Like America's orphans.

  • This should be made if the smurfs can be out july 29 on Movie screens...why hell not do the deed lets see the final ...But please do not make like the other D&Ds movie we saw that was a dud!

  • SPOILER ALERT . from what i know, after beating venger, he became good, though this episode never made it off the finish board. apparently there was still evil in the realm and they stayed to defeat that aswell. the script for the last episode describes this.

  • this show was is and will always be GAY!

  • I just barely could remember it.

  • this cartoon is actually about a bunch of kids playing D&D after dropping acid. Explans why their guide in the fantasy world is called "dungeon master".

  • HOLY FUCKING STALGIA

  • My god I have not seen that for yrs!!!!!

  • if you want to i can look trough my old stuff and see if i can find the tape an upload it

  • yeh they never managed to make it home, forever trapped in a poorly animated yet fairly decent cartoon series. well there are worse fates. at least they stopped making episodes unlike the simpsons, that dead horse just keeps being flogged

  • THEY NEVER ESCAPED!

    O_O

  • We should be thankful this wasn't a World of Warcraft ride or every Tuesday we wouldn't get to see it until after lunch...that's west coast lunch.

  • Man this cartoon was great. Never missed an episode every Saturday morning. On a side note, sounds like Venger borrowed Megatron's Fusion cannon at 0:42.

  • That's a good rip. Show how good the animation really was.

Too bad nobody ever died in the show, though. I find this funny...

"The level of violence was controversial for American children's television at the time, and the script of one episode, "The Dragon's Graveyard", was almost shelved because the characters contemplated killing their nemesis, Venger.[2] In 1985, the National Coalition on Television Violence claimed it was the most violent show on network television."

  • @aculturemind wha..!??!

  • @yexiliada

About what part(s) of my commentary are you saying 'what'?

  • wha..!??!

  • takes me back to sittin on floor in front of tv..i was glued to it!

  • @JONSEY123able

I was as well, loved it

  • i remember this it was excellent!!! i always thought they

should of made it into a movie!! but nowa days they'd probably just ruin it

and get the casting wrong with terrible hollywood actors!!

  • @happystar8081 They did make a movie back in 2000 but it was a flop.

  • "LOOK OUT"

  • Did these guys ever get home???

  • @KermitsGreenAss

No they died. Except for the red-headed chick. She lived. But she was raped. Oh yeah. She died too. They all died then.

  • @KermitsGreenAss Sadly not, the final scene was Dungeon Master telling them that they had taken their 'first step home' or something, before he annoyingly disappeared behind a rock, as always.

  • Hi everybody! i recommend you the spanish opening of "Dungeons & Dragons":

    v=wlX8gOW-m_I&feature=related

A very very good tune, good memories!

  • Good memories :)

  • Poor kids, face off against Tiamat in the intro and then a BEHOLDER in episode 1!

  • @YoungGarrett i guess that means the kids always roll natural 20's

  • I used to love this, bring back Philip Schofield and the BBC Broom Cupboard (minus that annoying Duck thing though).

  • @RichXbox360 Haha god i remember the broom cupboard and Ed the duck and gordon the gopher lol. One word LEGEN......wait for it.......DERY!!!!!

  • XD Great series... with music videos, remember !!!

  • @Vincentzu2 I think you're thinking of Kidd Video.

  • Did they ever make it back home?

Venger looks like a badman even today!

  • @MrShahin79 No, it ended without them coming back.

  • Comment removed

  • Allow me to lol.

  • There was a episode where a young girl from the outside world with a heart necklace ends up in the D & D world. The 'Barbarian' has a kind of crush on her. The gang get her home, but can't also go back. However the girl either drops her necklace or it is given to 'Barbarian'(I can't recall exactly) There is a part then where he has a dream/vesion that indicates that the gang make it back because the girl is given her necklace back in our world by 'Barbarian'. So I hope that helps.

  • "That was Venger, the force of EAGLE!"

Ahahaha, that always used to make me crack up.

Venger's pretty cool though. Cooler than the emo' baddies we get today.

  • Oh wow! The same thing happened to me on the log flume at Alton Towers, Only just got home yesterday, wow 20 years of my life gone...

  • The girl who was given the skills of an "acrobat" should be pretty annoyed. What good are those skills gonna do ya when the shit hits the fan!!?

  • @dovestones Yeah, she was fit though, so was the ginger one, the "Thief"...

  • This used to be a good series, one of the last episodes I remember seeing they had gotten their asses kicked and all the realm was almost destroyed all around them.

  • @echo1v Actually they were never really in danger, the Dungeon master had full control and could have sent them home anytime he wanted. He is also Vengers father.

  • Was the black girl called Diana.. so thought she was sexy back in the day....they don't make cartoons like this anymore.

  • this dragon looks so cool it kicks every cartoon dragon I ever saw in the 2000s.

  • I loved this as a kid! Eric always made me laugh!

Did they actually ever get home?

  • @hescres I think the did in a epsisode but venger followed them so they had to go back and take vennger back to the d&d world

  • @subzero72 Venger is the dungeon masters son. The Dungeon Master could send them back anytime he wanted. The kids could have Killed Venger in one episode but the Dungeon Master convinces them not to.

  • @ojideagu thats i did not know

  • @subzero72 Yeh the final episode which fully explained all this was never made! But the script exists and some have tried to animated their own episode on youtube lol The Dungeon Master is far more powerful then he lets on. I think he was just testing the kids and use them to help redeem his son.

  • @ojideagu interesting info

  • @hescres The Dungeon Master could have sent them home anytime he wanted, he was just testing them

  • soooo annoying how they couldn't get home but got close all the time!

  • I love Erik .He is so cute.

  • I cant say i loved it, but watched it; And From what i rememer Erik was an asshole in that cartoon. And thats saying a bit, cuz my name is Erik lol.

  • Dungeon Master was the bigger asshole...he could have just shown the kids how to get home, but instead, he KNEW they were too good to ever leave somebody in distress. Always put them in "stay and help, or leave and be dicks" positions.

  • @Rhiorrha THAT is what a Dungeon Master actually does in D&D. They're complete assholes like that. The best are the ones with a good story and a complete disregard for your characters life. So... he's actually a very acurate translation.

  • @altarush I actually thought Erik was an annoying whimp whi seriously needed to shut up.

  • Sweet!!!!

  • This was my absolute fave cartoon when i was little, i was obsessed with it!, lol. Uni was my favourite :D

    x

  • my mom would flip out if this came on, i wasn't allowed to watch it :(

  • there were a lot of nasty rumors about it having witchcraft or being part of devil worship.

  • yep...but instead of that, the good guys win every time.

  • There was a lot of Christian propaganda against D&D in general, saying that it promoted an interest in worshiping other gods, and practicing magic.

  • @Leto2ndAtreides

Well, to be fair it was Jack Chick and his handful of followers who were behind that. None of the mainline churches really thought much of it.

Still, just because of those few misguided folks, I get weird looks from some gamers when they find out that I'm both a Christian and a 20-year veteran of tabletop roleplaying games.

    *sigh*

  • Good memories. ^^

  • He fires megatron's fusion cannon!

  • never really thought of it but the dude on the horse has wings and the horse is running on midair, that's pretty funny.

  • @Genus109

Maybe if he opened his legs the horse would fall off!

  • i remeber this cartoon and i remeber the unicorn would always piss me off like snarf from thrundercats.

  • lol,agreed......SNARF SNARF

  • I used to love this show but I remember feeling somewhat terrified by it because of the whole D&D-Satanism controversy.

  • But in the end they can't find away home

  • i ve seen the show in 1990. the main badass turned out to be the dungeonmasters son-turned-evil. the master could have sent the kids home easily the entire time. and did so after they defeated that badass. the series ends with the master offering them to stay for other adventures or to return home. their choice is not known. there was a skript for this episode "requiem", but i wasnt made, the show got canceled right before the final episode.

btw: it always reminds me on "gilligans island".

  • HOLY CRAP, I forgot all about this one!!! Nice work!!

  • happy fuckin days :)

  • It is b/c of stuff like this that I am a geek. I LOVE IT!!

  • loved this, but it was another of those annoying cartoons with no concluding episode! i remember they got back to the fair ground once, but (i think) the cowardly one (the cavalier) was stuck so they had to go back. gutted!

  • I REMEMBER THIS! Thank you for such a clear video.

  • I LOVE THE EIGHTIES!

  • Now this is Old School Saturday morning viewing. Thanks for the memories.
