The outside engines on a quad boat are very short which is why the "bark". That boat is carrying quad motors, 4 full livewells, passengers and is running over 60 MPH in this video. I think he was having fun for the camera and wasn't really trying to show off the running attitude of the boat. Anyone who says the 40 SH pounds is dead wrong. It is made to run hard in rough weather which is why so many tournament anglers and chazrter captains buy this boat.
The outside engines on a quad boat set up are 20" motors so they will usually come out of the water in any wave condition and "bark". Anyone that says a SH pounds is a moron. That boat is carrying quad engines, usually has 4 oversized wells full, passengers in the back of the boat and is probably running 60 + MPH and you are questioning why its bouncing? I'm sure if he was looking to get a better ride in that video he would slow down and maybe use some tab but how exciting would that video be

@31oceanmaster they pound because they are ALOT lighter and have a design quirk in the pad, which is at the rear of the hull, not the V. The pad has a design that hits the waves regardless of the cutting action of the V. Not to mention that carbon kevlar is extremely hard and every little hit is transmitted directly to the passengers. Pretty boats, but not good for rough water.
This video proves what i keep getting bashed about by SH lovers.....these boats are too light and they pound.

@gladheateher4now... seahunters have a 24.5 degree deadrise, same as a contender, contenders dont pound so why should these?
