I generally stay away from comments about the 'good old days' and how music died after 1993 but the thing I find increasingly is that the best stuff is from these old school guys who worked their craft, performed their hearts out, respected the fans and had musical integrity. Roll on 'good old days' .takes me back to the summer of '84
ozone is so hot and he is my friend on facebook! hes still going strong and is still as sexy as hell! love him so much! love thease movies! best of times! love old school everything!
I think it was this film that made me break dance....lol. I know I can't do it now. These times were so much better. Music seemed so much better back then too. Nothing about shooting and ho and crap like that back then.
me and my cousin tererence james mckay made hip hop and break dancing live once again in regina saskatchewan canada along with my new crew of dancers led by myself and ms lisa heath
@1305alz I know enough that this movie is typical American/Hollywood bullshit, watch Electro Rock(not the pussy's in this shit film)you may not like it cause theirs no love story.......say's it all really....Bboy 4 life.
@TheKevzero1 The fact that you saw a love story in this film and all I saw was a dance movie says more about you than it does me. I was into bodypopping, hip hop, electro rock and a lot of other types of music. And yes I agree that this film was a typical Hollywood dance film with a crap underlying storyline and bad acting, but I watched the film for it's dance moves not it's attempt at being a serious film ( and the less said about Breakdance two the better ). Peace.
overall i luved this movie and soundtrack and i'm still dancing yall can see me in movie trailer "AND THEN CAME LOVE" i'm dancing next to vanessa williams,i also appeared on "RUNS HOUSE ON MTV" (OPERATION ALBUM DROP) and i danced on stage with TEAM BLACKOUT reggie pulledme on the stage i was also seen dancing in front of the stage, check it out its on mtv's website i'm also on mtv's "MTV GOES GOLD" i have on a purple hat in the clip, ciarra the singer starts the show off, awesome song&memories.
i met p.diddy at jfk airport in 1997 and he gave me the bad boy business card,he told me to call "lou" i guess lou tucker and told me lou wud take care of me until he returned to ny,diddy was headed to florida on american airlines said he wud be back in a week or 2 well lou didnt take care of me,he didnt even answer the phone, since i was shy i didnt pursue it,anyeay thankd p.diddy for the effort,i met michael jackson in 97 too while he was doin the history tour,he smiled &said hi shook my hand.
i dedicate this song to p.diddy, from bad boy because he made a documentary about dancing or it was an interview and he alledged that he got a lil rusted with his dancing, and he called his friend fatima robinson aaliyah's choreographer to help him out with his dance skills,i say once a dancer always a dancer, theres no such thing as getting rusted, take note from michael jackson he was in his 50's and still dancing, yall can see me in lil louie vega live on mtv's grind late 90's im in all black.
{Do it} {Hold on} Out in the street You don't survive by being weak This is our time Walls were made for us to climb Don't you try to lock us out Cause we're breakin' down the doors And all we're prepared to fight Yeah, yeah There's no stoppin' us {No stoppin'} No one does it better {No one does it better} There's no stoppin' us {No stoppin'} Really doesn't matter Na, na, na, na, na Na, na, na, na, na Long overdue No playin' game or being used Something to prove
This movie is a classic within dancemovies. Although the moves aren't that spectacular as nowadays (like some ABDC teams or You Got Served/Step Up 3d), for that timeframe it was original, spectacular and fresh. Movies like Breakin', Beatstreet etc. are HipHop101. The HipHop/R&B scene, especially dance, would not have been that great without those icons from the 80's like O-Zone, Turbo, Boogaloo Sam, Rock Steady Crew and of coz, Michael and Janet Jackson. 80's dance rocks 4-ever.
Can I go back and spend one day in my childhood when music like this was on the radio. It feels so good to hear this song. The good ole days!!!!!!!!!!
That boogaloo shrimp was awesome! However, someone somewhere knows what I mean when I say the baddest men on the dance floor were Messrs Mulenga and Mutakasha! Can I get an Amen?!!!
best breaking movie in the world ozone and turbo and special k are three wonderful teachers who taught the whole world what break dancing is all about
ppl was dancin to this...yer mainly after breakin was releasd...werent just electro funk , it was a lot of grandmaste rflash, bambaata, jonzun crew, herc ...all of which eventually ended up in the pop charts. in fact id say it was more breakbeat style than any funk...funk sort of played a low key part of lockin as boogaloo (the main funk user) wasnt particuarly big in them days
You might be right, Style Wars is the real deal, but for a kid like i was back when this came out, it's more a cheezy flick I grew up with that I can't stop loving, rather than reality. I still love the music and don't knock the dancing, it might be hollywood, but some parts are still great! =)
