Surprising how big the fire was; doesn't this class use fuel cells. It's curious how fast the fire crew got there; it appears one of rescue cars is coming down the track behind the cars as they hit. I imagine there more to this story. Thank God everyone walked away.
@TJFrost12455 I understand that; the same thing is true in Nascar. But if you'll notice when the camera angle shifts to behind the wreck; just as the wreck starts a safety vehicle can be seen on the track. Is it typical in V8 racing, for safety vehicles to trail the pack at a start?
@Bronco46tube I believe so...that's what happens in WSBK & MotoGP; medical car chases the pack for the warm up and 1st lap. So I can only assume it's similar for V8s.
@V8SupercarMadness absolutely this is something that the should of been done back when Mark Larkham and Paul Morris had the same sort of accident. sad thing is i bet they dont do it until the cotf is released
